If it works after a reboot, just do that every few days. Reboots are good to do anyway, on occasion.

Ah ok. It's still warranted if it's under a year old. Take it back.

Warranty is good for one year from when you bought it. They may even be able to fix it at a sprint store. I would suggest bringing it in and talking to someone.

They should all be on your sd card. Just pull it, and copy it to the PC.

If your contacts are google contacts, you don't have to back them up.

They are linked (if they are google contacts) so even you sign in with your new phone they will be synced.

sprint is such a fing joke... even though i have a warranty on the phone i still have to pay $55 if i want a replacement phone the next day instead of waiting 2 weeks for the new phone from htc.. wow they couldnt even transfer my contacts... and the phone is on back order so i have to wait a week anyway... no wonder why the stock is horrible

I've been dealing with this among a few other issues (basically my 3 month old phone is posessed). The so-called "warranty" is a big fat lie. It's held by HTC. If you want to get your phone fixed or replaced via warranty, you have to go through them, and be without a phone for about 3 weeks. Sprint won't honor the warranty- they are charging me $38 to replace the touchscreen. $38 isn't the end of the world, but I'm REALLY aggravated about paying anything for a 3 month old phone that is supposedly under warranty. I was with T-Mobile for many years prior to this and they always honored the mfg warranty. I'm steaming.
