So I was pokin around the post.boot for 1.1.8 and was wondering this fully means...

#Enable Zram
if [ ! -e /sys/block/zram0/disksize ] ; then
echo "[ZRAM]: ERROR unable to find /sys/block/zram0/disksize";
echo "[ZRAM]: Is this a ZRAM kernel?";
echo "[ZRAM]: ZRAM NOT ACTIVATED.";
else
if [ ! -e /xbin/busybox ] ; then
echo "[ZRAM]: Setting ZRAM disksize.";
echo $((100*1024*1024)) > /sys/block/zram0/disksize

echo "[ZRAM]: Found busybox, proceeding...";
busybox mkswap /dev/block/zram0
busybox swapon /dev/block/zram0

echo "[ZRAM]: ZRAM activated.";
else
echo "[ZRAM]: ERROR! Busybox not found in /xbin/busybox!";
echo "[ZRAM]: ZRAM NOT ACTIVATED.

Would it be saying that cuz zram it's also an init.d from 1.1.7's aroma installer?

Actually, I've taken the init.s script out in my rom and just integrated it into the post. The only time itll show up on init.d is if you update using aroma installer

Yeah, just go ahead and mirror it on Mediafire for now, man. I was looking forward to get this rom on my phone before going to bed only to see the site has been down all night for all of its downloads. Even if it's temporary, some of us would appreciate a mirror for now.

Thanks!

If you're s-on then just use the SmartFlash feature of 4ext, no need to extract boot.img separately. (4ext should prompt you asking if you're s-on, in which case it will automatically turn on SmartFlash).

Same thing has happened to me three times just now. What's messed up is that I was downloading it before and then it stopped at 36% and never resumed. -_-

Yea we really do need a better file hosting site. How come mediafire isn't being used? Doesn't it have faster downloading times too?

Yes. All you have to do is search for the app install and if you dislike uninstall.

I haven't been able to download 1.1.9 yet but I also get random restarts in 1.1.8. Version 1.1.6 has been my best so far.

Per a few other discussions - I uninstalled No-Frills CPU due to potentially causing reboots. Fingers crossed that this makes the rom more stable.

People with random reboots, try changing your CPU speed back to stock for a week. See if that helps or changes anything

I can confirm the reboots aren't because of no-frills cpu. I've frozen it via TB but still get reboots. Granted I'm still on 1.1.7**, going to .9 tonight.

**EDIT: 1.1.7, not .6

I got a reboot on 1.1.8 by ending a phone call. Seems to be random and no one specific thing is causing it.

Updated to 3.1.2 Anthrax.. Love the sweep2wake! Sweep2sleep is pretty darn cool too!

I made the jump from 1.1.6 to 1.1.9 earlier today. One twice repeated issue so far is not being able to reconnect to my home wifi network without toggling the wifi switch when I return. This wasn't an issue with 1.1.6, is anyone else seeing this? I have since changed the settings to never sleep the wifi radio to keep my voip apps going, and will report if this solves the issue.

Other than that, things have been smooth sailing for the past 4 hours with a handful of voice calls and a little streaming audio. Thanks xthedakmanx!

I've been able to fix why Goo manager isn't showing 119 as an update. Made an error in the build.prop. Reuploading atm. If you've already installed 1.1.9 then there's no reason to re download. This is just to make goo manager show it as compatible with the cell

Im currently running this rom and love it so far. I was wondering how it compares to the other roms though. Has anyone tried the other roms and can give an unbiased opinion? Most important thing for me is battery life.

Best benchmark yet, 4406 on Quadrant, 1.728 GHz/performance/sio. Dialed back the governor/scheduler and switched to xondemand/noop. Now I'm getting around 3500. Gonna try to see which tweaks are applied/which tweaks I can apply myself to try to up that score. Had one instance of random reboot. Not a big deal.

I've tried two others, Harmonia and Mobster. Both offer a lot of user control and major benefits over stock, but both seem to have very different aims, or at least different means of getting the most out of their roms. I didn't see any noticeable difference in battery life between all of them (including midnightrom). If battery life is most important, tweaking your system for energy savings, reigning in potential problem apps, and getting a bigger (or second) battery are your best bets.

Between Harmonia and Mobster (I'll leave midnightrom's comparison to xthedakmanx, this is his thread), if I have to sum them up, IMO based on my limited experiences with each, I'd say:

Harmonia- Fast and closer to stock. The dev Leslie Ann seems very careful with her releases, taking a conservative approach emphasizing stability.

Mobster- Fast and very lightweight, closer to the pure android experience, meaning removing a lot- in this case most of HTC's well integrated Sense, which is no easy feat. More bleeding edge rom, high performance, less stability.

Other than that, things have been smooth sailing for the past 4 hours with a handful of voice calls and a little streaming audio. Thanks xthedakmanx!
I to experience this issue with WiFi in this release

I tried flashing after a factory reset. I tried flashing after just wiping cache/dalvik. Nothing helped. Then I deleted no frills. Still no luck. Then I wiped cache/dalvik after I deleted no frills.. that worked.. but still one problem. I'm chewing through battery. Like 1% every 3 minutes . And I have s extended battery.
The battery has been sick so far on other roms. Acesoft.. I highly recommend it to anyone with this phone. Anyway . No more random reboots
But I'm chewing through battery .

*****Edit******
Battery chewing has stopped. Phone is working flawlessly . So for everyone having random reboots. Delete No Frills CPU. Then wipe cache/dalvik and reboot. My phone had been working fine . Although I do miss having the capability of being able to change my CPU frequency for extra performance when needed. But honestly not needed

Updated to version 1.1.19.

Wifi Tether is working now. Writing from Laptop using Wifi-Tether. Have not tested with my Ipad.

Sweep2Sleep does not seem to work.
Sweep2Wake works fine.

Battery on sleep seems to be a lot better. 1% drop per hour.

Very impressed here. I did a full reset/wipe and have had no reboots so far on 1.1.9 (don't want to jinx myself). If No-Frills CPU is to blame, it hasn't effected me yet (running the xondemand profile, 1.566GHz max). I have two voip apps running constantly (sipdroid and grooveip) and wifi never sleeps, so there is a low level, but constant demand being placed on the phone.

I also installed google voice and the search widget. Google voice thru the search widget seems to work flawlessly on 1.1.9. I pushed it pretty hard with a dozen requests in a row, which would have hung it in 1.1.6. But.... google voice thru the capacitive search button is wonky, maybe I missed something.

Besides the wifi reconnection issue (don't know yet if it's still an issue with wifi never sleeping now), I'm finding a minor bug with the installed task manager reporting zero memory usage for every app so far except for settings.

Works on the lock screen, but only when you do it just right. Or maybe it just lags. Hard to tell.

I applied a few tweaks from this thread: http://androidforums.com/evo-v-4g-all-things-root/565376-tims-evo-v-4g-tweaks-3-800-quadrant.html

No real noticeable difference. Scores are still sitting at the 3500 range.

You are right. If you do it slowly, it will lock the screen (Sweep2Sleep).

Sweep2Wake works fine at regular swipe speed.
