Soo I had my first brick. (Just in time that someone else did too.) I have never had any problems with my phone before. But the one time I decide to finally install Instagram, and upload a photo, it crashes my phone. It froze completely. Pulling the charger out didn't even turn off the charging LED. So I pull battery. Turn on. Half hour later? Still on the 3D boot animation from BluROM r109.

I grabbed a fresh boot logcat. No file. I only saw one error which was regarding the phone having issues loading a package in the package monitor. And what was it? Instagram.

I'm going to warn you guys, I would NEVER use that phone destroying app. I'd rather use ROM Manager on an unsupported phone then use Instagram ever again. I submitted a one star review, emailed the developer, and for the hell of it I reported it. LOL.

I had NO recent backups. Latest was the 7th of May. So yeah I lost quite a few new apps.

I do have a question tho! For anyone reading. (Hopefully a guide!)
Is there a way to create a flash able zip of all my data and apps coming from a nandroid advanced backup of data? When couldn't boot anymore I backed up via advanced backup data so I'd still have my apps. I used Zarchiver to basically delete Instagram in data/app and the corresponding data for it in data/data and then tried to restore that via 4ext latest version, and it gave me a md5 mismatch but restored anyways. (Knew that would happen anyways) and it still wouldn't boot.

Does anyone have an idea of what exactly happened? Because it's actually happened twice now on 2 different phones. the last one was recoverable with a fix permissions tho. This time on the Evo it did not work tho sadly.

So is there a way to just flash the apps of my choice and there data from a nandroid advanced data backup?

I've just ordered a cheap overlap shed so that I can finally move my bikes/parts from my mum and dads and keep them at my own place, as it is just a cheap bit of wood between my bike and a robbers van,I figured an alarm would be useful anyone had any experience of any?

I got my first smart phone 2 years ago, an iphone 4 16GB, and loved it. The only problem I had was having to buy several wall chargers the past few months because after a month or so they stopped being able to charge my phone. I was eligible for an upgrade but didn't want to because I had unlimited data and didn't want to change, since I use over 4GB a month. After the charging issues I was having, I decided to upgrade and try the Samsung Galaxy S3. I'm having a difficult transition to Android and really need someone to help me a bunch! ! I'm extremely open minded and willing to committ to trying to learning all I can, though I am certainly no techno guy. Anyone willing to help me? I'd appreciate any guidance.

I bought the Impact Shield screen protector today and think it is going to be a really great protector. I know it is pretty new but I did a lot of research in Google before purchasing it. If it works like it says it will -then it will be worth the 34.99 I paid for it. (T-Mobile is the only one that I found that carries it at this time) I had a self healing protector from Verizon and it was really gummy and it DID NOT self heal. The scratches were a lot deeper than a regular screen protector and looked awful. This one is nice and smooth and is very clear. I was really impressed with the self healing aspect of the protector which they demonstrate in the link I posted below. The Impact Shield review is about 10 min 35 sec into the review) I wondered if anyone else on here had bought one and what they thought of it and if there were any issues. The cases in the review look pretty cool as well.
I opened the app, but nothing was there except for some old ones in the trash from well over a month ago. It might be linked to me updating from FL04 to a newer Sprint ROM - just not sure what... Any ideas guy's?
