I have used Seidio products on all my past phones. I am a huge fan of Seidio and use their excellent screen protectors as well. I had the Innocase II on my Droid Incredible and loved the case. When I heard that Seidio was making this case for the Fascinate I jumped at the chance to purchase one. The following link is the case: Innocase Surface - Black for use with Samsung Fascinate
I recieved the case today and tore into the box. The feel of the case is very similar to the back of the Droid X and Incredible. The soft touch feels very nice in the hand. The case comes in two parts that slide togther. One upper part that covers the top of the phone and the lower part. I like this design because im not worried about the hard case popping off in a fall. Inside the case is black felt that protects the phone during the installation process. Its a hansome looking case that adds very little bulk to the phone itself.
Now for the bad: Once the case is on I found that it was not a tight fit. When I shook the case I could feel the phone slightly moving around inside the case. This is bad due to any dust or dirt that gets inside now has the chance to scratch your phone. Also I did not like the cut outs for the volume rocker and the power button. The case came almost flush with the buttons making it a pain to press. Especially for the power button.
So over all I give this case pluses for the look and feel and a big negative for the fit and cut outs. I for one am disappointed with this case. The Incredible case was snug and I felt very protected with the case. On the Fascinate, due to the less than snug fit, I feel that the case is only good for looks and not for actually protecting the phone from scratches. Loose cases = fail. I will stick with my Verizon Black Glossy Silicone case for now. Im sending the case back. I really expected more from Seidio.
Hope this review helps some people. $29.99 for this case is waaaaay to much for what you get for your money.

I had an Innocase II for my Incredible as well. Had to send it back repeatedly, never got one that fit properly.
I'd hold off for the Innocase Active or a different manufacturer altogether. I'm pretty disappointed that the same 'loose fit' issues are recurring here; when my Incredible's case sucked, I was told it was a problem with the manufacturing process for the black cases specifically. Now it seems it's more of a design defect.
I'm also still a bit put off by the fact that they advertised a case-compatible dock for the Incredible for months but it never materialized - one of the big draws of their cases, for me, was the ability to use a dock without undressing my phone. Seidio has pretty great customer service, especially on this forum, but I think I'll save my money for the time being.
Wow, that case actually looks nice. I wonder if all Innocase IIs are loose fitting or if just a small percentage are.
Otterbox said on their Facebook page that they are working on a Defender case for the Fascinate. Hope it comes out soon, because the belt clip is supposed to double as a kickstand!

Thank you for your comments and we would like to help! The cases were tested and should not be loose at all. Please provide us with your order number and we would be more than happy to see what we can do for you!

Thanks for putting up this review. I became a Seidio believer when I had my Blackberry Tour. I had the Innocase II for it, along with the cradle. Those two accessories were great, I've never had a case as great as that one. I have been waiting to hear about the Innocase II for the Fascinate since I heard it was in development, and now I have an idea.
If anyone else has any experience with this case on the Fascinate, let us know if you have encountered the same problems. There is a chance that Halcyon has just gotten a faulty case. Also, you should let us know what happens with customer service Halcyon. I am interested to see what they can do.
I also want to add that I am very impressed with Seidio customer service. It's not hard to find a company that has bad customer service when you go to them, but it's great when a company finds you random online post on an internet forum about their product and tries to help you. I haven't seen any other company, if any, do that before. Keep it up Seidio. We appreciate it.
I have the Innocase Surface II on my Fascinate as well....ordered it as soon as I saw it was available online. My feelings are pretty much the same as the OP's. Great look and feel, but the buttons aren't the easiest to use and the phone is a little loose in the case. It isn't extremely loose, but you can tell if you shake the phone. It may be due to the 2-piece design but I don't know.
The deal-breaker for me is the button accessibility. I'm currently waiting for an RMA number to send this back and I'm going to try the Active X as soon as it becomes available.
trust me. cut out for power button will be annoying to press everytime.
At first, I used $5 screen protector and silicon case bundle. (which has cut out for buttons.)
But, now I got amzer silicone jelly skin case (buttons are covered and raised)
It works and feels much better than cut outs
I read your review and I was worried about ordering one. But I just got my sapphire blue Innocase II today and it fits really snug. I had a tpu luxmo case and it was alright. The cut outs for the buttons are a little bit of hassle. Overall, I'm really happy with the case. Now I'm just waiting for my SGP screen protecter.

Thats good to hear. Im hoping mine fits snug as well. Im pretty impressed with Seidio's customer service no matter what the outcome. And im still a huge fan of their screen protectors.
So today I received my replacement case (at no charge to me) from Seidio. I am pleased to announce that the case is a snug fit! Fits like a glove. The buttons are still a little bit of a pain to press but overall the case is snug and attractive. After numerous PMs from the Seidio rep who lurks on these forums they really came through. I will be a Seidio customer for a long time coming. Great customer service! So I would tell people who are interested in this case to go for it. Its a solid case and probably one of the best options for the Fascinate on the market.

Nice to hear about the replacement case working out. Great Seidio customer service!
I asked this in another post where the OP reviewed his blue Seidio case, but wanted to ask you as well. Can you compare this case with a TPU case, in terms of added bulk? I've always loved Seidio cases on my phones and hoping that this one for the SF is just as good as the others, but I'm really more concerned with adding as little thickness as possible. Thanks!
Thanks for all the info in this thread, especially Halcyon. I want a case that can be taken on and off easily as I have a desk dock, and one that will protect well but not add a lot of bulk. This case seems to have all of that. I had a Seidio case (Pt-branded BB case made by Seidio) for my Droid X and loved it. Was waiting on one for the Fascinate, so I'm going to order it now. Hopefully it will be a nice snug fit

i recieved mine today. i bought it from thecellguru.com. Case is not tight at all, as it kind of rocks side to side in the case. to much play on the sides. It also does not lock very well. the two pieces move around and do not fully lock like the one i had on the INC. however, i could just have a lemon. I have not had much luck with my fascinate altogether...plah.

I don't find it annoying at all. In fact, it prevents accidentally hitting the power button and turning the phone on or off when you don't intend to. My case is tight, and I'm very pleased.
Hoping mine comes within the next couple of days...
Awesome! I hope you like it. Im actually likeing the button cut outs more and more that im using the case. I find they help stop accidental pushing of the volume rocker when turning on the phone. Anyhow good luck with the case. Im thinking about getting a second one now. Blue is looking nice.
I just got my case in today. The reason I bought it is because of how well it worked for my Droid Eris and I'm happy to say that I am pleased. There is one thing that I don't like about about it and thats the access to the power button. Its a little awkward.

Thanks for the review... I'm debating now. I currently have the Body Glove; but 1 drop and it popped apart and one of the corner snaps broke off. Don't trust it. Seidio or Otterbox?? Otterbox looks pretty nice; but the Active X looks good as well...
thanks for the pics all. How easily does this case go on/off? What is the wear like if repeated? I use the car dock and am concerned about lifespan. Thanks!
The pieces come apart fairly easily. Just a little side to side wiggle of the two halves and it comes right apart.
As far as wear, if the Fascinate case is anything like my Droid Eris case, it will wear extremely well. I usually took my phone out about once per week to clean and inspect it and have never found anything more than a little bit of dust buildup from my pockets.
I've had my mine for a couple weeks now. The case no longer fits snug. Like Halycon's first case, when I shake it the phone moves around. Also when I grip the phone the sides of the case now flex. I've really enjoyed this case until now.

This shouldn't be happening and we would like to replace the case for you. Can you please PM me your order information?
Its really nice to have Seidio on this forum to address customer issues. It rare to see companies today with such great customer service. My brother had a Seidio case on his Iphone 3gs and I loved how it felt. That was the main reason why I went with a Seidio case.
I'm having this exact same issue, but the case I have is the platinum from best buy. Are they the exact same cases?
If you look on the bottom of the tube that the case came in and it says Seidio, then it is the same case with the pt branding. If you purchased the case in the last 30 days, you can exchange it at Best Buy, otherwise you can PM me and I can assist you with the replacement process.

Wish I had read this thread before placing my order. Just received mine today, love the look and feel but it just doesn't provide a snug fit. My experience is just like the OP. It moves and slides around in the case. Returning.
The photos looked great. I just got done ordering this case (Newegg.com has it on sale) because a friend of mine at work has the same phone and got this case. I love how it looks and after just about a week in he's very pleased with it. I'm geting scared now that after I get it in, a month later it'll be unsnug and i'll be regreting the buy. Here's hoping that I'm one of the ones that gets one that actually *stays* snug.
I've had mine for just over 2 weeks now and I have been loving it. The case has fit snug and seems to be pretty nice. I love the rubberized feel of the outside (which doesn't collect lint) and the felt on the inside (to prevent scratching). I am worried that the release mechanism for taking the case off will wear after a while and simply not lock anymore, as I take it off every night because I have a desk dock but so far it has been great. The one major complaint I have is when gripping the bottom half of the case on the right side it makes a creaking noise like it's losing its snug-ness at that portion, which can be really annoying. Other than that it seems to be a nice case overall, just annoyed at that one bit. I was considering the Active X case now as well, since it just came out not too long ago.
