Default Root zip updated

http://forum.androidcentral.com/attachments/fascinate-roms-hacks/3576d1285453266-how-root-fascinateroot_v02.zip

It's now v2 and is slightly different, same procedure but takes a bit longer (3 minutes instead of the old 2).

Ok so I clicked on the link and it made me sign in to android central so I did. Then it just automaticly downloaded the root.zip. After the download finished I opened it and it unziped. I went to my files and found the zip file and clicked on run root.bat and it did its thing then said reboot into recovery and open the update.zip. So if I do this will it root my phone? I just want to make sure I did this the right way since there are no instructions saying to do all of this on your phone. I really dont want to brick this phone. So have I done this right and do I just need to load the update.zip in recovery mode? If this is correct and thats all I have to do who ever put this together is the man, and this is the easiest way to root.

You didn't download to your device, did you?

Download the zip to your computer and unpack it.

Attach your USB cable after going into debug mode on your device.

Go into the new Fascinate folder the zip created when unpacked.

Find bat1 and click it. Follow screen instructions.

Here's the page with the basic instructions:

Well I clicked on the link just to see what the procedure was and it automatically downloaded to my device. Should I delete the file from my device so it doesn't interfere when I go to run this on my computer tonight?

I would take everything out from the first attempt and reboot, then start from scratch.
