Anyone had any luck getting their Fascinate open? I've posted in the FFC thread as well, and I'm trying to open her up to take a look and see what kind of room I've got to work with inside the phone. It seems like there are clips holding the body together, and I just can't get them to unclip.

Anyone have any luck?

Check in the XDA thread where they are discussing the front facing camera hack that was done on the Captivate, I know some of the guys there tore it down to see if it was possible on the Fascinate.

i am interested in mounting a low profile heatsink to the CPU/GPU, etc.....even if it's only a mm or two thick, even if it means doing a little cutting on the case/cover under the microscope with a razor blade....i have the stuff to fix a lot of things....anything is better than an uncovered suffocated chip encased in plastic, assuming it doesn't already have a heatspreader like a modern CPU....probably just a bare IC

how rad would that be, to turn your phone over and have a heatsink flush with the back cover of the phone next to the camera.....eh?

I've checked the XDA thread to not much avail. I'm going to go back over and thumb through all of the pages now. I'll report back if I find anything.

The heatsink is a good idea... let us know if you try it!

I've been reading over this and watching the video. However it seems that my phone is less compliant than the one in the video. If it really is this simple than I'm missing something.

its probably like the first time taking apart the box 360....but the rewards are great....if you guys think i am kidding about doing that to my phone....here's my old 360
