So there are known problems with mms using 12/17 test2 adryn Voodoo5?

I'm trying it out and just noticed i couldn't send or receive mms, but sms works ok.
I was just going to report it on adryn's page, but if it's already a known issue, I'll just wait for a fix.

No, nitsuj17 is referring to the 12/27 asop voodoo 5.

oh, ok. well i had mms problems with 12/17 test2 adryn Voodoo5. So then I reflashed 12/14 stable voodoo 5, and still had mms issues.

I placed a new thread asking for help.

A few people have reported issues with MMS with JT"s clean v.9. Maybe you should try V.7 or Super Dark DJ05 ROM but make sure that you wipe data and cache in between flashing ROMS.

Well before I flashed voodoo, v.9. worked fine, but maybe its the combo of .9 with voodoo. I guess it wont hurt to try flashing another ROM. I just have to track down V.7 or SuperDark.

Thanks for the tip though.

Edit: It was a problem with v.9 in combination with voodoo. Just had to replace the MMS file included in V.9 with a different MMS.apk and the problem was solved. thanks to Nitsuj for directing me to the easy fix at DJ05 Clean .9 MMS Fix - xda-developers
Thanks to eriscentro for posting the fix.

Does anyone know where I can download JT's non-voodoo kernals (other than ROM Manager since ROM managers sucks since the last few updates)?

Thanks, but I was looking for jt's non-voodoo kernals, not geekniks. I couldn't find a thread like that for jt's stuff.

he really hasnt kept up on posting them afaik...but the dj05 thread at xda has a nonvoodoo kernel in it....you may have to drop by irc and see if anyone has links handy

or at the very least kernels built by others off his source code (basically the same thing)

I'm using Stupid Fast 1.98 because many people seemed to prefer it to the stable 1.54 and said it was their favorite version on xda. This is my first day with it so far and I am unsure of the difference.

Anybody have experience using this one? Better battery life than stable or just better speed?

Next stop could be voodoo for me, but I use my phone mostly for text, email, music, and heavy browsing. Not sure if I would benefit from Voodoo if that is what I mainly use my fascinate for.

Hey have any of you used the jt non-voodoo as well as trying the stupidfast kernels? I was curious if any of you guys noticed a performance diference between the two or if anyone has a recommendation on which they liked? I've been also debating switching to aosp, but I'd like to wait for a little more functionality. I might give the stupidfast test kernel a try too.

I'm currently using stupidfast 1.54 stable with superclean v.9 it seems pretty good so far.

I really had little interest in voodoo, but then I started seeing how easy it was to set up, and how little trouble everybody on the boards is having. Seems pretty stable from what I have read.

Yes voodoo 5 is stable. Almost no reason not run it and almost impossible to mess it up. Now thanks to adryn's fix all packages its virtually fail-safe even if you are talented enough to bork it now
