Default How do I mass delete emails? Feeling Stupid

Hi all,
I read the threads that came up on this subject but none really answered the question.

I am coming from a Droid Eris - I used to mass delete my emails by pressing the menu key, pressing delete again, check delete all and they were gone. How in the heck do I delete all 155 emails that downloaded?

No way to do it from your device (that i know of). I just logon to my computer and go to gMail and delete them.

Yeah I dont think there is either in gmail. Then again with the syncing its rare for me to have to delete more than 1-2 a time.

What an asinine and rather primitive bug this is of gmail!

My father had over 2000 Emails in his EVO's gmail app. He deleted them from his gmail account online, but all were still present on his EVO, and yes, his account is synched.

Indeed - there is no way from the provided email application. The only thing you can do is a "mass flush" from your Trash folder once you have deleted them.

If he re-sync's after emptying his trash your fathers phone will drop those emails, hope this helps.
