Default Home Screen Orientation

To anyone who has the SF do your home screens switch from portrait to landscape automatically when you hold the phone sideways? Mine does in just about all other screens but not the home.

Are you using TW? If so yeah it seems that way especially if you have certain widgets. Im on LP and it rotates every screen. Maybe give it a look.

Neither the Home screen nor the Apps Screen will rotate when using TouchWiz. If you want this functionality you will have to change to a launcher like LauncherPro. I did a week or so ago for this very reason and am loving it.

But if for some reason you're using LP and you dislike this feature (like me), there is an option in the LP Preferences to disable it under home screen settings.

Its pretty sweet and they just updated it today. Give it another go; many of us SF users are using it
