Ok so the email app that came on my fascinate dosent always work. SO I downloaded the yahoo mail app. I went settings, accounts & sync and make sure the sync is off for the stock app but it always turns itself back on. I have the notifications for the 2 diff "apps" so i get 2 dings one for the stock app and one for the yahoo app. Is there any way I can stop it from turning back on?? doesnt matter how I have the setting the stock app wont work right. I like the downloaded one but the stock app takes over.

I hope I didnt just confuse everyone! I just want the stock to stop taking over.

Open the stock app. Menu/more/Account settings/Email notifications (uncheck)

I have done all that but some how they all get checked again. I have to uncheck them 3 or 4 times a day.

Then you probably need to wipe your phone and reload.
