Default plz help root issues

hey there I've tried to do this myself but its just not working :/ I've downloaded universal androot and it says my device is rooted but when I check root checker it says it isn't rooted no commands work in terminal backup either im on orange uk running 2.1-update1 any help is appreciated

ahhh pooop, yeah its a motorola flipout I actually thought id postted this in the flipout forum dont spose a mod could kindly move this for me x
