Lets assume there is only one company in the world that makes cars, The Motor Vehicle Company.
-Any car that has ever been made or is currently in production in the real world is made by this company (Viper, Diablo, Camaro, WRX, Formula1, Ram, F350, etc.). Basically anything with wheels and a motor.
-Every single car is capable of the same top speed, acceleration, handling and so forth.
-Every single car has the same value.
-The only difference between the cars would be the sound of the engines as well as body design and cosmetics. With that said, you are capable of "upgrading" the designs (rims, spoilers, paint, etc.) but none of the upgrades change the actual performance.
If you were given one free car based on the criteria above, which car would you choose?
In simple terms, based solely on looks and/or sound, what car do you like/prefer?
The 2003 Diablo has been a favorite ever since it launched, but I love the look of the Murcielago. I used to be a fan of the Viper, but the two mentioned at the start would be my favorite cars. I love the new Mustangs, mainly because of the GT500 supercharger sound, but I really think I'd choose the design of the Murcielago over any other any day of the week (although the suicide doors are cool, they are not the reason I like this car).
One of the purposes behind this question is to see what cars would be the most popular among consumers if brand, performance and price were not major factors in a persons decision to choosing a vehicle in comparison to what the real world is really "populated" with.

But they are so what's the point of this thread aside from an exercise in futility?
I would prefer to buy a Bmw or an Audi. I really like these two brands. They are reall competitors and their cars are exclusive designs from the great Germans.
Go drive the new Kia Optima SX w/the 2.0T engine that makes 274hp and gets 34mpg all on regular unleaded for you commit to $10k+ more for an Audi or BMW.
You bumped a 6mo old thread to tell someone who's been here a year 'welcome to the site' when you just joined and have 6 posts. Something smells fishy...
As much as I LOVE that car I think I HATE the new digital dash equally as much. For such an expensive car that digital screen nonsense just looks cheap and cheesy IMO. Back to the Future called and they want their dash back.

i can see that argument. I was originally going to vote for the Lexus LFA, though.
I'd continue driving my Nissan Altima. I like it as it is. Easy to get in/out of, easy to drive, large backseat and trunk, and blind spot view is excellent. And it looks good too! A lot of people give compliments on the color of mine.
I want a nice illegal (In the USA) Nissan Skyline. =] LOL.
They have the GTR 36 for sale in the states now. I saw one in Columbia SC pass me and have the pic to prove it.and a guy at my former work told me they sell them in the dealerships now. Dont know if they are castrated skylines or not but you can buy one now if you got the coin.

they're beast of a car, crazy fast, but reliability has been a topic of concern. i've had the pleasure of driving a couple different ones and while they're great track cars, they're miserable daily drivers. i've also had the displeasure of racing a couple at local Auto-x events and they're so at home it's nuts even some lambos and ferraris were having trouble keeping up with them.
not sure if they're readily available on lot's but if you have 85k to blow on a fun weekend track car or just an extra "toy" you'll have trouble finding a better car.
This. Lowered a little more, supercharged, with an AWD system out of a BMW or Audi. I want something that looks classy, yet can take a turn like there's no tomorrow
^ While I love the appearance and power under the hood of American muscle, I just could never see myself behind the wheel of one. Just not my style. I have a weird thing for Jap vehicles.
Damn, I missed that. Well, my woman likes the new camero. We rented a charger for two weeks and it was cool but, damn that green camrero...looking bad ass!!
Device(s): Lots of old retired phones,GNex(ICS dev),D1, D2, HTC Thunderbolt rooted and running various ROMs

Since this is an "all things equal except for looks", I'd take a Lamborghini Countach 5000s - the sexiest, wildest, most outlandish-looking car ever made IMO. Keeping in mind that the performance, handling, power, etc. are all the same for the purposes of this thread, I'd definitely go with the Countach. I've owned a couple of the cars mentioned in this thread, and while they were awesome to drive, they just aren't as cool-looking as the Countach IMO.

Good call man. This was the first car poster I ever had on my wall and one of my all-time favorites. It wasn't comfortable, reliable, practical or even particularly fast... but maaan was that thing bad ass! If you wanted to make a statement that was your car.
If you've ever seen one in person it's incredible how small they really are. The roof line doesn't even come up to my waist.
