If you are using nvidia card ,replacing xorf.conf file makes it work .

Replace it with nothing or what? I never had to worry about that when I used any Linux distros in the past (just used onboard graphics back then) and I am rusty.

I went to bed while repo syncing CM7. And had the same dual monitor issue in ubuntu.
Any ideas? Should I take this to computers & IT?
