Default Battery cover for the G1 difficult to remove

I feel like i'm gonna break the damn thing every time I peel it back. I have to snap it off. Anybody else find it difficult?

I bought 2 extra batteries with a charger on ebay for 21 dollars (w/shipping). I thought that i was going to break the back cover every time I took it off, but it never did and now with a little practice I can pull it off and slap it back on in a second or two.

That's a good deal. Was it those guys from Hong Kong? I've seen a dude from there selling 3 batteries for like $30 it was tempting but I've been warned that china sells a lot of fake stuff.

don't pull it off, push it off.

Get the left corner free and a little bit away from the back then push the left toward the right and it will pop free quit easily. Think of it like a stubborn slider, you just have to get that left corner free and then push it toward the right and slightly away and it will pop free on it's own. It takes very little effort, I can do it one handed now.
