Default Upgrading rooted G1 from 1.5 to 1.6
I have a rooted G1 running 1.5. Jesusfreke 2.6.27-00392-g8312baf. Yeah, it's old but I like it.

Is it safe to install the 1.6 Donut upgrade or will it de-rootify or otherwise mess up my perfectly working phone?

I don't HAVE to upgrade but if it is easy and safe I would like to since it is being offered in the System Updates section of the Settings.

Any technical reasons I should just leave it on 1.5 otherwise?

Cant guarantee it but pretty sure I got an OTA update and didnt affect root.
Do a backup before you upgrade.
