Default Will z4root work on the G1?
I have a friend that wants me to root his phone and I see the G1 is listed on the z4root page as a rootable phone. Has anyone had any experience and success using this method?

Default Universal androot
Just use universal androot it works just as good i used it and now i have custom roms on my phone. it works great!

Yes, z4root DOES work with the G1. I just used it! lol... now to find some roms for my friend! lol
