I apologize in advance if this is in the wrong forum or has been asked already. I searched forums but didn't find my problem exactly...I foolishly attempted to Root my HTC Dream Android 1.6 & do the CyanogenMod 6 found on HTC Dream: Rooting - CyanogenMod Wiki
and I have chickened out! I have downgraded the firmware to RC29 & I have Installed Telnet but that is as far as I got. I have not bricked my phone YET...Can someone PLEASE help me just get it BACK the way it was before I do??? Or post a link that would walk me through it??? I would be eternally grateful!!! If you haven't figured it out yet, I don't really know what I'm doing. :-P.

Ton's of fW here... If you were able to downgrade to RC29 and install telnet you've got a working phone right? I've flashed to froyo for trout and it's been working perfectly for moths now. You should start reading here for example...

I never had much success with Cyan mods for some reason. I would crawl to a stop and eventually have to reflash the ROM every 40 days or so.

I've been running the ezterry port of the MT3G Froyo ROM since Jan and have been rock solid. Totally impressed. I think it's probably pretty similar to that Trout ROM linked above.

Don't go back, go forward! Froyo on the G1 saved this phone for me.

Only 4 days left on it before I switch carriers. Don't make me get nostalgic now.
