Sad Did i brick it or...?

As most of you know, a few days ago i did this:
Need help getting a new rom on my G1

And it functioned perfectly...until this morning that is...when it died...
Basically last night i installed iGO navigation, which constantly gave me a memory error (when the phone was clearly suppose to install it to the memory card) and then i went and uninstalled it, and i moved every app possible to the sdcard, then the memory error disappeared and the phone was left on my desk over night.
However when i woke up this morning, i yet again had the "low on memory" error and the launcher has crashed basically leaving me with a screen that has a grayscale on it. Naturally i rebooted the phone, however the phone constantly got stuck in a boot loop (on the cyanogen loading screen). So i went to re-flash the same cyanogen rom, however my phone cant mount the memory card and since it can't reboot properly either i really don't know what to do.

Any possible solutions?

EDIT: ONE MORE THING: last night i (and the pocket the phone was in) was soaking wet when some idiot raced through a giant puddle right next to me. Like literally soaking wet. Could that have done something?

I'd hazard a guess and say your issues are related to the phone being wet as opposed to any app you've moved/installed etc.

Turn the phone off, place it in a box of rice in a warm cupboard and don't turn on again for at least 48 hours. Even if it's slightly wet and turned on you could be doing irreparable damage to the phone.

There still might be a chance, try it in the rice, see what happens.

You could well be out of luck though, sorry.

Since i had no rice at home, i just left it out to dry, unfortunately, it still wont reboot, but it just recognized the sdcard so i'm re-flashing cyanogenmod as we speak (finding update package...) and will let you know if it works.

BTW, does re-flashing the same rom still delete your stuff or does it stay in? and i dont mean apps, i mean more like SMS messages.

If there is still moisture in there, by having it on, you're just making any potential damage worse.

I know it's tempting to play about with it (I've been there myself ), but 24 hours is nowhere near long enough, especially if your pocket was as wet as you say it was.

Since it's stuck on "finding update package...", is it safe to pull out the battery?
Man this sucks, it's my only phone and i can't believe i'm that unlucky to run into that one idiot behind the wheel...

Yeah, you can pull the battery. If you don't have rice, you can use cat litter (clean obviously) if you have any.

Just after rooting etc as well. Do you have insurance?

No cat litter either, i keep dogs.
And no insurance, i actually bought the phone on an auction site, the phone is originally from Germany (qwertz keyboard).
So basically, if it doesn't work tomorrow, i'm screwed. Right?

Morning...
I managed to re-flash the phone, flash the google apps, it boots up normally and everything works but it won't recognize my sim card.
By the looks of it, it seems to be a common problem...
EDIT: and now all of a sudden it worked...

Not a problem at all! I honestly thought you were out of luck, but I'm happy to be proved wrong.

I fear the worst then unfortunately.

You can try drying it, but the damage might have already been done.

Please do.

Can you get a new SIM Card from your provider? That might be water damaged (although I've never heard of a SIM being water damaged before, not impossible I suppose).

Still works
I don't know about getting a new card with the same number since my number is kiosk bought. I guess i'd have to find a way to register my number in my name with my provider.

It's working perfectly actually
It had it's first reboot like 2 minutes ago but i think that wasn't sim card related. I'm definitely happy to have it working again
Thanks again for the help
