Default Need help flashing Hero

Hello,
I have my T-Mobile G1 aka HTC Dream for a few days now and would like to flash one of these pretty Hero ROMs on it. I'm totally new to Android but with a lot of work I manged to downgrade my phone, root it, installing some kind of recovery image and a HardSPL.

I will try to give as much information as possible:

First of all it's a brand new German G-1 and I started off with the following:

Firmware Version: 1.1
Baseband Version: 62.33.20.08U_1.22.12.29
Kenel Version: 2.6.25-01843-gfea26b0 android-build@apa27 #6
Build Number: 123099

HBOOT-0.95.0000
CPLD-4
RADIO-1.22.12.29

After I made a Goldcard and followed this guide I success completed these steps:

Quote:
Now that you have root, you will want to apply "Hard SPL" to your phone. HardSPL is what will allow you to apply flash images from other regions (like UK on US phones, and vice versa), create full backups of your phone, install the latest build from the Android source, and usually resurrect your phone if it is "bricked". You have already downloaded the file to your SD card, so now you can apply it.

1. Power off your phone.
2. Start up in recovery mode by holding home and pressing power.
3. You will now enter recovery mode. You should see an exclamation.
4. If you do not see a menu on screen, press Alt-L to show the menu.
5. Press Alt-S to apply the update from the SD card.
6. After the update is complete, hold Home and press Back to restart.
Now my phone is as follows:

Model number: T-Mobile G1
Firmware version: 1.0
Baseband version: 62.33.20.08U_1.22.12.29
Kernel version: 2.6.25-01843-gfea26b0 android-build@apa27 #6
Build number: kila_uk-user 1.0 TC5-RC7 112931 ota-rel-keys,release-keys

DREA110 PVT 32B
HSPL10.95. 3000
CPLD-4
RADIO-1.22.12.29

Serial0

I have access to Window and Linux (Ubuntu) and three 2GB microSD cards.

As I said I wanted to flash a Hero ROM to get the beautiful RosieUI however I read that one can easily brick in the process especially due to Haykuro's Danger SPL so I'm looking for someone to guide me step by step through it.

I entered my IM details in my Profile if anyone wishes to contact me that way.

I would greatly appreciate any help, I feel like I'm so close to a perfect Android Phone and just need a little push^^

Thanks for any help in advance!
