hello to anyone reading this,

i have a g1, which i purchased on a site similar to ebay, aware that it had the rainbow screen 'effect', i thought it would be an easy fix. i believe (but am not 100% sure) that the g1 i have is NOT rooted.

when i power on the g1, i see this:



i'm from the uk, and have flashed the rc7 dreaimg.nbh, but i'm STILL at the rainbow screen. i've done a soft AND hard reset. i just don't know - is it the radio, is it the spl, is it the rom?

pressing the home and power keys brings up a g1 screen, which leads to this:



then, i can press the alt key, and the l key, to get to this:



from these pictures, can anyone get my g1 into a working state again?

if anyone can, you'll have no idea how grateful i'll be.

Sorry to say, but it looks the ex-owner tried to flash some SPL which needs 2.x radio with 1.x radio, and bricked the phone.
It can be unbricked, but the procedure is really advanced and special hardware is needed:
