I replaced the housing on my g1(everything, sliding mechanism, chasis, front) and after that my mic didnt work
but before that, I rooted it, and am now at 2.3.3 with cyan

with the mic not working, I looked around online, and looks like defective a part. So I bought another board with the mic on it. Still doesnt work...

Now Im thinking I missed something during the root process, or maybe I need the driver for the mic or something like that

I took the phone apart again, and tightened down the black screw at the bottom.
as noted on page 28

everything lined up perfectly and the mic works once again
