Default G1 and Stylus

Anyone know if the G1 will support the use of a stylus. I know it does not come with one. Thanks

Why would you want to use a stylus?
The G1, just like the iPhone, uses a capacitive touchscreen.

Didn't you already ask this question?

Thanks, I have a Browser app That uses a lot of Small check boxes to capture replies, I think the Finger may be to large, but maybe not. On the HTC Diamond using Opera mobile 9.5 it requires the use of a stylus. C

Thanks

If the HTC Dream doesn't support a stylus, I'm sure future devices will. I'm also in the boat of wanting to develop against a little higher density screens in a couple use cases. It would make data entry faster and more accurate if the user can use a stylus versus a finger.

Default HTC Dream

Brains: The HTC dream does have a stylus and it works well, and it also supports Finger touch, But the Finger is not the best selection tool with higher density screen content like check boxes/option controls.

Thanks

The i-phone has the same type of capacitive touchscreen as the G1 and there are some specially designed styluses available for it, therefore the same stylus should work with the G1. One notable brand is the Pogo

I bought both the $2 cheapy stylus and the $15 Pogo that is designed for the iPhone. Both do work. I prefer the Pogo because of the 'foam' tip and the clip that is for the iPhone can be used on the G1 with creative use of a little double stick tape.
