So, all of a sudden, my G1 froze up and I had to take the battery out in order to get it working.

Now, it no longer locks when I press the red power button, or when it is left idle. Also, when I press and hold the power button, the only option available is to turn off the power. The "Airplane Mode" and the third option... I think it was Standby... are gone.

This is pretty annoying, since I can't lock the phone anymore.

Any help would be great.

I'm at v1.6 for the firmware.

Okay, so, it seems like my phone is degrading... I just plugged in the USB and it is always playing the "Beat Plucker" ringtone over and over until I either unplug the USB or use the drag down menu... so... yeah. Does this happen?

Wow, and now the camera button doesn't work. Here are the other details for the phone:

Did you get it wet at all? Cascading failures like that have happened to me after water damage.

Not that I can remember. It has been humid here, but I haven't had any other piece of electronics have the same type of problem.

I've taken the thing apart, checked for damage, and put it back together. It seems like this is some kind of software change.

G1 Froze...had to manually remove battery. booted up the phone again and now it won't lock and when i turn off my phone, only one option: "Power Off"
