When I launch the Camera application, my G1 becomes unresponsive and I can't make it responsive except by opening the back and removing and reinserting the battery.

This has only been a problem since the latest Android upgrade, as far as I can tell. I certainly used to be able to use the Camera app with no problems.

There's plenty of free space on the memory card, so that's not the problem.

All helpful suggestions welcomed!

I've just noticed that my G1 also now hangs when launching the Gallery application

I have the same problem :s other apps are crashing too that nobody else seems to have problems with

Check to see how much space you have left on your SDCard ...

Which apps? Are they ones that access the camera or stored photos?

I've now reported this as Issue 3791.

Same problem here since the beginning. I have 4GB left on my SD card and it locks up as soon as a pic is taken.
