Hey guys,

Bit of news here : So i couldn't make MIUI work on our device since MIUI is made for HDPI screens and our is not an HDPI screen so i couldn't make it work on mini unless i had the source and the MIUI is closed - source. So i decided to port MadTeams CM7 and the owner of the MadTeam.co is gonna help me. So i hope the best

The best one is QQplayer or MOBO player for video playback and for download (though i m not sure but you can certainly give it a try) in the market ""Download All Files by HwkRbbt Software"" and for themes follow the link Ultimate Thread of All CM7 Themes for T-Mobile Theme Engine! - xda-developers

I'm sure it can be transparent. And if you don't mind waiting.... I will find you a tutorial how to do this and will test it myself Of course if you don't mind if you want you can find everything out by yourself

Btw - What launcher are you using? I need that to help you

@ manishgade..sry i didn reply to u on xda..
to have transparent statusbar i used the patcher by zdune:
CM7 Theme Patcher v1.6 (Windows users) - xda-developers
it's simple.
also ur launcher and theme needs to support transparent statusbar or u can get it transparent only for live wallpapers or by using multi picture live.
adw,go launcher ex and launcher pro supports it i think.
if ur using adw u need to disable wallpaper hack in adw settings.

@netas,
the modules tun and cufs are not loaded automatically at boot...need to do it manually frm terminal..i also tried editing the init.gt-s5570.rc and deleting backup..executed and it worked but after restart modules not loaded and init file reverted back to original.
parasmi said we can create a simple script to load modules automatically and put it in init.d
for that i dont know linux..since u know..maybe u can do that??

Sure i will create a script and actually i will create a new flashable zip for that So the new .zip will have the modules and the auto insmod

manishgade,

Sorry but i didn't had the time for the transparency. But try roofrider's solve... Since i use linux i can't try that....

So flashing disclaimer applies.

Instructions :

1. Flash it trough recovery. To check open up a terminal on the device and type in "lsmod" if you see 'cifs' and 'tun' modules there that means it works.

2. If it doesn't work (when you don't see the 'cifs' and 'tun' in lsmod) mount /system partition before flashing

This is an update of my last .zip . This one has auto insmod. So you don't have to do the command everytime
Attached Files
File Type: zip update_cifs_tun_autoins.zip (1.41 MB, 3 views)

Sorry... for me it is not as easy to understand as it is for you... you must have gone thro some hard work b4 u understand this... I have tried flashing statusbar_op_patch , though it only shows operator name and status bar become transparent when I apply Live wall paper and when in lock screen but in home screen it is black as usual.. Can u put it in some simple language or simplify the process..

u said everything correctly...in home screen it will only be transparent for live wall papers...or u shud use the themes that supports statusbar transparency for home screen:
[CM7 THEME] MIUI 1.8.19 MDPI/HDPI for CM7 (08/25/2011) - xda-developers
[CM7 THEME] MEIZU v8.0 MDPI/HDPI for CM7 (07/27/2011) - xda-developers

i'm on miui theme...apply that theme and still if u dont get transparent statusbar tell me.

Yes.... you said correctly. I just tried miui and the status bar become transparent but it is semi-transparent and again in lock screen and in live wall paper only, in home screen it is black only...I us Go launcher Ex (is it because of Launcher).. which them should be used MDPI/LDPI for our mini... I like your miui home screen-shot and that clock.. would you spare some time explaining me how do I get that... thanks in advance

yes it's semi transparent that is the way the theme was made.
for GoLauncherEx:check high quality drawing.
download and use multipicture live wallpaper and set normal wallpaper to get transperancy for any launcher in homescreen.
mini is ldpi so obviously ldpi themes suits best but miui theme is mdpi..doesnt cause any problem.

How do you flash back to stock rom?

Same way as you would normally flash with odin?

Does this change back the partition to default?

Yes with ODIN you can flash back to stock firmware.

And yes the flashing restores you partitions to rfs file system. But the sd-ext partition remains unless you remove it

manishgade my friend,

There are no ways for our FM Radio to work on CM7 unless our CM7 would become Official and the CM7 team would make a support for our FM Radio device.... I told you that about three time

You had to download the .apk file and the data files found in the link. Just copy the data files to sdcard/Android if i'm correct.

@dhruvbatra.
1.Did u install gingerbread on your phone first?

2.You need to root your phone first in order to take a backup of your apps and other user data. For that install something called titanium backup. You get the free version as well as the pro version. Free version is good enough and did the job for me.
