Before asking question,

I ask all of you to google first. I'm ill now so i can't answer all the question. Just google a little bit if you don't find the answer then post the question here. Don't be afraid to try something. If i didn't google and just test and try out new thing i wouldn't have created this thread... So if you want get mad. But you know that i'm or anyone else doesn't know everything. No one helped me to achieve the place where i am now. I had to google a lot and just test . I knew i could brick my phone but well... I was ready. So please with all the respect start using google cause there will be a time when no one is there to help you.

You get my point

Wait it out. The boot screen i a little weird after the android word comes up the CM7 boot. Wait it out ok? Of course if the android word is on there for 10 min reboot

Turn it on and wait for about 15 - 20 min. The first boot takes time...

Are you using CM7? You can always recalibrate your battery

charged the battery like it said on onscreen instructions, then hit calibrate battery on screen, unplugged. nothing happens. Just says battery calibrated. Is there any way to drain out battery fully in a few mins?

When you plug in your phone , charge it up and then calibrate it and unplug. When calibrate battery is pressed the /data/system/batterystats.bin is removed . It's recreated soon. So it removes any fake info and leaves the real battery information

i came across people who say they have 59% battery after 14 hrs on their galaxy mini with moderate usage. But its too tough to believe their claims.

ReInstall launcher to new version or wipe data/cache to format factory.
AutoRotate:
Display>Auto rotate
now
adw>system prefarence>Home Orientation>Portrait

auto rotate is turnOn and app drawer and homescreen are turnOFF

1. Clockworkmod(a.k.a CWM) is a custom recovery for android. It's like a normal recovery but with a lot of modifications(like CWM allows you to backup and restore your ROM.Or install custom ROMs

2.ROM (maybe i'm wrong about this so don't judge me on this). There are two kinds of ROMs :
1. Stock ROM (An original system provided by the manufactor of the device. In our cases Samsung)
2. Custom ROM (It's always based on a stock ROM. Like CyanogenMOD is based on Gingerbread. But this ROM has a LOT of stuff added, modified and perfected. In cyanogen you can modify almost everything.

3. CyanogenMOD (a.k.a CM7. The 7 is the number of the current cyanogenMOD) and Andro - ID are just the names of the only custom ROMs available for the mini / pop . There are a lot of other ROMs but those ROMs don't support our device.

4. And the last one about OverClocking (a.k.a OC). The processors are set to a limited frequency witch they run normally without any problems like overheating (in our case 600mhz). Once you flash a custom kernel witch supports OC you remove that limit. the max setting of our processor is about 870mhz if you push it to like 1ghz you will overload the processor and your system will start to reboot again and again and again . I think you can even break the device . So use this carefully. I think there is no OC kernel out yet for our device but there will be .

Hope this answers to your questions

P. S - Guys don't judge me on this. This is how i understand this. Maybe i understand it wrong... So don't judge me
Here cause some of you are lazy and have no patience

manishgade,

You guys can have this thread but well i can leave too.... Since a lot of you open unneeded threads like : Cm 7? . Or : http://androidforums.com/samsung-galaxy-mini-s5570/412415-rom-cyanogenmod-7-1-0-samsung-galaxy-pop-mini-gts5570.html . Can you please explain what are those threads for? If someone needs the CM7 they will find it. But if someone doesn't like this attitude of mine.. Then i just won't help them or even just abandon the this thread and leave it to you guys just for talking. So if someone doesn't like the way i run this thread post now. Cause i hate when someone is silent when he hates me. Just tell me if something is wrong, like you don't like my atittude or something like that. Just say it.

No, we all like you and respect your knowledge but some people who are new dont use their head and post irrelevant questions assuming everyone is free to answer their each and every question.. they dont respect the effort of members, I think your recent message has given them enough to understand abt. how to go abt. when asking questions, yet they seem to be not listening, yes u r right that first... read entire thread... if u dont get wat u want then google it.. sure u will find something to know.. then on that basis u will post a sensible and relevant questions which other members wud like to answer ... I think Nets3K has adequately explained every relevant bit of info in his initial post in this thread which is more that sufficient to understand CM7 and its other part.... still some members think act oversmarly... what to do..? yes u r free to abandon the thread and leave but genuine members will suffer... What do you suggest what we can do...we will do that

That's true in my case.. I not only learned new things from you but cud also explain it to others (friends) and we all cud successfully install CM7 in our device (my friends trust me and and I trust you )the purpose of ur starting this thread has been fulfilled ... but we have become ur big fans and wish to know further from you... so will keep following you (on other forums also) and keep learning new things from you.. as you are presently developing/re-tuning CM7 for our mini with others.. btw have u recovered from ur recent illness...?? all the best

So i'm gonna stay in this thread and maybe post somethings in others... But in others rarely . Yes manishgade i recovered for my illness. And the CM7 developing is slow cause i need others help and people are busy. Now i'm working on a linux Market Updater script for a guy from XDA. Here is the link is the thread (For now there is only a Windows version ) : [25 AUG 2011][Market 3.1.3b1][SCRIPT]MarketUpdater for all Android Devices!! - xda-developers . Worked flawlessly with my mini running CM7. Btw - After doing such things i recommend to backup your ROM. Cause i can make your system unstable . Like i messed with the CM7 files and boom. System crashes when installing an app. So have backups

Samsung does not support CM7 as it does not recognise it... you will never be able to connect CM7 with kies
