Oh man. So near and so far...
Got as far as step 4 in the middle esction (insert battery with key combo) and nothing happened. Now the phone isn't detected at all, and I don't seem to have anything under USB called Samsung... at all.
And started again from the beginning and windows won't detect... sigh
Frustrating. I feel there must be some way of getting there. My phone is showing signs of life, but I just can't get windows to talk to it.
hi, flashing bricked my phone and while I can still get into download-mode, odin does not recognize phone anymore. Thanks for any sugestions for bringing the phone back to life.
keas
i get the samsung logo on and off,and i tried with odin
<1> Close serial port and wait until rebooting.
<1> PASS!!!
<0> Destroy instant..
<0> Killed timer
when rebooting, the screen light gooes on and off, whithout the samsung logo. reinserting the battery, the samsung logo comes back and the screen turns on and off.
I'm having the same problem here.
Got any solution?
Followed every step, Odin works fine, I mean it gets to the "Killer Timer" part, but my phone still doesn't boot, when I press the ON button the screen just blinks, like these one: Galaxy mini bricked by rom manager - YouTube
I'm sorry the tutorial was so late i had to try it several times to make sure it works, i still haven't had anyone who's tried it to confirm it works for them yet though, would be really appreciated if anyone who's tried it and had success let me know
I have just resurrected my galaxy mini s5570!! it had a black screen brick but could only be detected by odin and my laptop.. followed the guide and voila! 2.3.4 !!!! try it
I'm glad this has worked for some of you, seems other types of bricks aren't suited to this tutorial. I no longer have this phone and it's been a long time since i wrote this so i cannot provide anymore help other than the tutorial sorry guys

I just rooted my cellphone and i have Uninstalled my Samsung Home system data using the titanium backup app, when I restarted my phone it starts only to the Samsung welcome screen. no more after that. (I don't know why I did that)
From what I have done I have 4 questions
1. Did I brick my phone?
2. Is there any way to fix my phone?
3. Am I posting at the right thread?
4. will the tutorial be working on my phone? xD

hi, i bricked my s5570 when i installed a wrong version of clockworkmod on my device. the mod installed okay but the next moment my phone just went black without any tone or vibration. i tried volumedown+home+power & home+power but to no avail. so googled my query & come to yr tutorial. i followed it word to word but my prob is that neither does my phone shows up in the devices & printers altogether nor does odin detects it. so i uninstalled the drivers & reboot, connected my phone thru usb but no sign of it anywhere in my pc & i even checked thru device manager but no good, then i reinstalled drivers using kies, reboot, took off my battery, sim, sdcard then pressed voldwn+home+pwr buttons all at once & reinserted the battery & kept holding for nearly a minute but nothing happened. is there any chance i can still unbrick it.
note - only yesterday did i upgraded my phone to gingerbread 2.3.6 thru kies. also while i was installing the clockworkmod i was actually trying to back up current rom & since rom manager was unable to recognize my device, i just chose the very first listing that rom manager displayed. while the clockworkmod was installing thru wifi, my phone was also connected thru usb.
anyways i wud b extremely grateful if u cud provide me with a solution. thanx a lot.
I've done the exact same thing except that I rooted my phone using SuperOneClick. Can anyone please help
Does anyone know will this work with S5570I (Mini Plus)? And if it does, where can i get ODIN that works with it? Normally, ODIN does not detect mini plus.
For my ODIN recognize only if i press Volume UP + Power + Home... not Volume Down + Power + Home
What can i do? It seems like Recovery mode not download mode ... PLS Help
My computer no longer displays an error mark against the 'Samsung CDMA Technologies'. Now, where go I get odin? Do I need to download, coz 'KIES' came with my phone in a CD.
For my ODIN recognize only if i press Volume UP + Power + Home... not Volume Down + Power + Home
What can i do? It seems like Recovery mode not download mode ... PLS Help
Same, also windows doesnt detect my phone until I do this aswell.
If it makes any difference I hard bricked by flashing the wrong version of clockwork recovery
from my one is also on black screen with the ability to enter download mode and armv9 mode with black screen but stuck on setup connection....
The problem here is... its all black screen so when i simply just plugin the mobile to the pc with battery on windows does not detects anything.. but when i go to download mode n then plug it then windows detects the phone and install these drivers...
so after that when i make the odin ready n try to enter the download mode again... no drivers such as odin driver is installed n thus stuck on setup connection againn...
help me out here.. i flashed wrong clockworkmod n got stuck here in this black screen..
Same here, I used to be able to get into download mode with my hard brick, I was a noob then and didn't know that I could flash it back, Then after losing it for about 2 months download mode no longer works, the only mode that works is armv9 mode which I think is useless im really mad

You saved me, I though I was screwed because my GT-S5870 didn't boot after odin (black screen, sound when connecting to computer), but inserting the battery while holding home+power+volumedwn did the trick. Entered in Recover again and flashed with successss!!
