Sorry dude!!! when i was creating a thread i did not see any suggestions for that were specific on installing cm7 especially on galalxy pop/mini. So, I thought I would create this thread so other might find it helpful/useful and they can alos enjoy cm7 in their device. Believe me cm7 is best rom for galaxy pop ever made.

And from the replies to this you can see in this thread, we can figure out that there was a need of this thread...

Sorry for this late reply.. But, what happened and how did you get to this problem.. What steps did you follow??

You should do it as follow:

Step 1:TO flash successfully you should first have gingerbread on your phone.
Step 2: Then flash ClockWOrkMod recovery using odin one package option in download mode.
Step 3:Then download the zip file copy it to sdcard and reboot to CWM recovery.
Step 4: Wipe yor data and cache (recommended for clean & safe install)
Step 5: In CWM choose option 'install zip from sd' then 'choose from sdcard' and select the zip file you downloaded.
Step 6: Wait till it finishes, wipe data and cache and reboot every thing should be fine.

If you are able to go to download mode try doing it from beginning i.e step 1. All the best...
If you are still having problem you can pm me..

Thanks !!! But, creating a new thread containing all roms is not a good idea as they will get mixed up and the users might get confuesd for the replies ...
But, If you want we can start a new thread for Ando-id v3.2 if it doesn't exist already..

Please put the screenshots of CM7 and also Please mention the Pros and Cons of CM7 as you have experienced because I need to decide whether CM7 is better than GB because I am risking my warranty :P

Starting another thread for Andro-ID is not bad, thats why this forum was created :P To create more and more threads, to interact more and more :P To suck hell out of Android completely

I guess screenshots will take some time. But, for pros and cons read carefully.
Pros:
It is Completely customizable, Pre-rooted, animations are the best part (they will attrack anyone who love design), UI is also improved, adw-launcher which can be customized to our perference, etc. can be overclocked or under clocked according to our choice making it blazing fast, i guess battery is also improved and best part it is made from android 2.3.5 which will take many months to hit/land on galaxy pop (esp in asia).
COns:
FM Radio doesn't work (who cares for all the pros you get, you can listen it any time through your home radio)
THere might be other small bugs/force closes (but haven't felt any till now)

I can't tell all pros and cons since I haven't got time to use and inspect different aspects but I think it's only Radio that is not working other everythin is fine. Believe me once you install it you will never want to return back. So, just flash and see for yourself (the best way to know how something is, is to try it out). So, I suggest you go ahead and flash it and see for yourself. About your warranty it will be someday (probably after first year of shiping) so why not today.

On CWM recovery select the option 'wipe data partition/factory reset'.
Remember wiping will delete all your apps and data so backup them before wiping your data.

You can also do it from Settings>>Privacy>>Factory Data Reset
option.

You are wrong... Sadly... This thread has so much replies cause it's on the first page and everyone saw it... Market and gmail and other google stuff is not included in the CM7. Because google asked the CM team to not include their google apps. But you can download and flash them trough recovery. Download : http://cmw.22aaf3.com/gapps/gapps-gb-20110613-signed.zip . And i know that CM7 is a good ROM. It was i who spread the word of CM in here. But sure, now you will disagree, argue and other stuff, but i don't care. Do whatever you want create a 100 more threads like these and then you will see that this was a start of a big mess....

Google apps are not included in the rom so you will have to install them manually. You can download them from the link APPS_FOR_CM7.10-v072311-signed.zip and install them from CWM recovery 'install zip from sdacard' option same like you did before...

I'm really sorry mate
!!!

My intention were not to hurt your feelings neither to disrespect you or your works. When I upgraded to cm7 and found out how interesting and incredible it was, I thought I would share it with others so that they could also upgrade and have all the fun stuffs.

Sorry, if i did something wrong. I will try to make sure that there are no other threads about the same topic as I'm going to write about from next time. Thank you for your concern about the forum (keeping the forum clean). Believe me I also want to keep a forum and thread clean and with loads of helpful information.

mate there is no prob in creating threads..it is helpful. but i think this thread shud have been created in the all things root section.
that's ok...but it's not the matter of how many replies u get...trust me wen this thread grows to more than 5 pages stuff posted will be difficult to find and will look like a mess.
threads shud be created and maintained.. especially the op shud give almost every info that is required so there will not be any repeated and unnecessary questions.

that's ok...but it's not the matter of how many replies u get...trust me wen this thread grows to more than 5 pages stuff posted will be difficult to find and will look like a mess.
threads shud be created and maintained.. especially the op shud give almost every info that is required so there will not be any repeated and unnecessary questions.
Yeah roofrider is right... I should do something about my thread too. But i don't have time with the porting of CM7 and other stuff like school

Switch off the phone. Press the volume down key + the home/ok key + the power key.
It will boot into the recovery menu.
You will see an option of wiping of the data in thee very first menu.

Some questions-
1.How can i get kies to recognize it so that i can restore my contacts?
2.Can I get back the old "time" gadget?
3.Can I get back the Samsung Keypad?
4.Can I get the power button to lock the phone as it used to earlier on gingerbread?
5.The inbuilt overclocking system only provides me to get both, the minimum and the maximum CPU speed to 600Mhz. How to overclock it to 750Mhz or so?

Install kies while having your phone connected might solve the problem.
If you are talking about 'swype' keyboard you can get it at beta.swype.com for free after registering.
Power button locks the phone by default.
To overclock download any of the oc modules from Free File Hosting Made Simple - MediaFire and flash them in recovery.

Though you probably won't need to go back to gb. If you want you can flash a firmware for your region/country from Login - www.SamFirmware.com and flash it using one package option in odin. If you want more detail see this article and follow the info there...

How are you trying to do it??? I think you are doing it wrong.
When you get a download firmware from Login - www.SamFirmware.com and extract it (password samfirmware.com) you will get a tar file. Now go to odin load OPS file check one package option and at the bottom of Odin Multidownloader Click the one package option and choose the .tar file and connect your phone in download mode and hit start. Everything should go fine!!!
