Question How can I change Shabbymod v0.9 font???

Hi everyone,

I am writing because a quick search didn't turn anything up for this phone or mod. Online, either...

So I have a question I feel that is within you guys' grasp.

I have a rooted Prevail running Shabbymod Loaded 0.9. The font installed kind of looks like Star Trek but it grew on me. My issue is something different.

I am learning a foreign language which uses an ISO8859-2 (from hashish-addled memory; may be wrong) font, instead of a normal ISO8859-1 one.

The language is Serbian and I want to see the Western alphabet but with those accent markings used in the "Latinica" split whenever I read anything in Serbian. (They also use Cyrillic when they want to.)

It should be no problem. I just don't want to see these maddening little squares where certain characters should be because my font can't handle 'em. I want to swap one font out for another and not have Shabbymod boot looping on me all afternoon. So...

I got this font from Adding Additional Language Fonts to Android | Android Devs

That page says to perform some root operations using a terminal, which I have in the available System Tuner app, but I thought that before I do it, you guys might know an easier way.

1. Do you know an easier way? GUI maybe? Confirmed working with 0.9?
2. If not, do you know any confirmed way with this mod? Pitfalls?
3. If not, do you, in your best judgment, think the procedure outlined in the page I referenced will work?

I use root explorer other file explores have the same capability I just dont know how to make them so now that I got that disclaimer out of the way.

connect the phone to the pc and move the fonts you downloaded onto the sd card, or if you downloaded to the phone they should already be there.

then open root explorer and browse to the sd card and find the font folder you downloaded. make sure all the fonts are in the folder and its name is fonts

exactly like that. then you can long press the folder chose copy, or move your choice, then browse to the /system folder and in there you will see a folder labeled fonts, make sure you toggle r/w so you have write permission in /system then paste it will overwrite the existing folder and all its contents. you will then need to reboot, would not hurt to delete davlik-cache at this time too.
Now you will have the new fonts not the shabby fonts.
