Problem with my contacts

Im running cm7, and im having a problem with my contacts syncing more than once... i'll go to my cantacts and their in there multiple times, is there a fix for this and can you explain why it might be doing this?

Mine did that too. I just disabled sync.for a little bit, then I manually deleted the extras. After I was through I just turned sync back on.

I realised that my google account is displaying my contacts twice, but i deleted the extras like you said... and i deleted the ones on my phone, is there a way to just wipe the whole contact list? if so i can just re import it

You might need to delete the extras manually in Google also. The issue is if you don't and try to resync, there's a chance that they'll show back up.

Mine did that also. I ended up with 4 of every contact. I had to unsync tweak a little and wiped them all out then go to my Google account and delete the extras.

I wound up with 8 or 9 Boost contact numbers, along with every other contact.... I don't have that many contacts anyway, but it still took me about 30 minutes trying to delete them all, but after tweaking the Google contact settings and erasing the duplicates I haven't had the problem since.

I'm also having problems downloading attachments with my text messaging.... no pictures show up at all and when i try to down load it it wont let me?

You could always try Handcent from off of the market.

which version of Cyanogenmod 7 are you running? Try looking at the Cyanogenmod thread and any available hot fix for issues such as this. Hroark or others answers questions pretty quickly and will steer you in the right direction.

there is only one hot fix so far and i have that.... i've been asking questions but Hroark13 must not be on cuz all the answers i got from other people don't work.... smh

Handcent or any of the other messaging apps could serve as a stopgap for the issue. Install it and have it as the primary messaging service and see if that helps any.
