Question (unique?) Play Store Issue

I have a very strange issue with the market/play store on my prevail. I can't recall if it was only in CM7, but I believe it's in any gingerbread ROM. The Play Store force-closes as soon as I try to install or update any app. I can load pages from the Play Store. It's just the downloading that doesn't seem to work. Clearing caches, uninstalling/re-installing the app, even reverting to stock and reinstalling CM7 doesn't fix it. Yet the Play Store works fine in CM9. Any suggestions? it hasn't always been like this..

I had this problem as well, I got it when I first switched my rom from (I think) HBS4 to CT. What was weird was that it didn't even tell me force close it just kicked me out and restarted EVERYTHING. I simply downloaded a new Playstore, and used a file explorer to re-install. heres an extra if you want to try. otherwise I suggest a full re-flash Odin/Rom Attachment 30129

Okay, so I had already tried Uninstalling/Re-installing and clearing the Market and Google Framework caches... But I never thought of fixing permissions So, after doing that, re-installing the playstore, and clearing caches, my force-closing issue is solved, but a new problem arose... Now when I update an app, I get "failed due to an error (927)." When I download a new app (I tried Droidwall because it's free), I get something like "Your order is processing, please wait and try again." Waiting doesn't make it go away of course.

EDIT: Trying to download Droidwall again made this happen:

And now I can no longer start the Playstore without it force-closing. I think I'll try Odining back to stock a little later today...

If you're running cm 7 try reflashing it sounds like you have permission error somewhere. I've experienced that and usually when I reflash and set everything backed up I'm okay

Actually, when I reflash, the play store disappears Only on my phone though. Same zip on my mom's phone works just fine. The weirdest thing is, the app is still there, it just refuses to start. Deleting all market-related apps and re-installing makes the other issue I explained above happen... Play store works in CTMod, stock & Honeybread btw, but I have bluetooth issues in CT and stock

have you tried simplifing the problem? try to see if you can copy the zip FORM YOUR PHONE to your comp. unzip(not extract, open archive) find system/app/vending and swap it with another( like the one here in this thread, and just back out till it asks you to update archive... do so and re-flash rom.
