I have a recently rooted prevail and I keep getting system update requests which I keep putting off. If I do accept the update will it brick my phone?

I can't imagine what the update could be the last time my phone updated it was to Gingerbread 2.3.6.

You're not missing much. It's still 2.3.6 and the only difference I can see is a horribly ugly new unlock screen.

I used odin and pushed in FA19 it worked very good. I am reading up on moding my phone now.

I am on the new FE16 rooted working pretty stedy for me faster 3g speeds and constant data unlike the FA19 id give that a shot if u are already rooted just download the FE16 rooted odin package and open the loader up then choose the one package option select the ops then at the bottom click on the one package button and select Phone.tar Hit start then just wait. (this way u dont have to reinstall your apps and settings) Of course u have to be in download mode to do all of this but i am pretty sure u already know how to do that if not (from phone off state hold the powe,r vol down and camara button until the nice yellow downloading screen comes up odin will pick up which port its in)

Thanks I did the upgrade to my baseband I do notice that it is teetering on one more bar for signal strength but I do not see any improvement on the 3G.

Only time will tell. Thanks once again for your help. do you have any mods on your prevail?

I am just running the JoyOS for prevail port i made or about 3 weeks now and it runs good for me just have to have sd-ext to run it or change kernels before first boot it is all in the post i made for it has all the 3g tweak goodies included ctmod well all the roms that i can think of already have some sort of 3g tweak in them
