Tricky Question !!
Hi,
I have a tricky question and would like to get an answer to it, if anyone knows.
I have two Prevail's, one is activated ( lets call it P1 ) and the other one is a spare ( lets call it P2 ) which I use for testing and try out different ROM's and stuff. Eventually, my final goal is, to have two identical phones, so if I break one or loose one, I have a spare.
Now lets asume the following...... P1 is fully working and I have a Titanium Backup made of it. P2 has the same ROM and everything like P1. Now I install Titanium Backup on P2 and copy all the backup files from P1 to the SD of P2 and run a restore....... ( I did that several times and it works great ).....
Here comes my question : At the beginning of the restore, TB basically tells me the backup was made on a different phone and if it should modify the MEID on this phone ( so far I always said NO ). Now if I would accept the TB modification, would this mean that BOTH phones are activated and active to use ? Of course, I know that I only should turn on one phone at the time, but what could happen if I have two phones with the same MEID !
It would be actually cool, if it would work, so I could have two working phones and use either one of them. Of course apps and settings I would have to update manually.
Any thoughts on that ? Anyone who tried that out already ?
Cheers,
vce
