Default URGENT: Tried to root 2.3.3, failed, now i'm stuck in bootloop.

so I tried to root using this method
Root Samsung Galaxy S On Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread I9000 XXJVK ROM

probably not a good idea, I'm normally quite easy going with computers, but this android shit has got me stumped,

so basically my phone is stuck in a ****ing bootloop, I can enter download mode, but not recovery,
it keeps flashing between the regular bootscreen and one for another model of samsung galaxy :s.

help please!
i just need my phone back ASAP, dont care what firmware at the moment, just a quick fix, maybe flashing a stock rom..
no idea how to do that though, since i dunno if i'm rooted yet

just extract the firmware and check whether the pda file has boot.bin and sbl.bin... if yes then u ve fixed the issue by flashing that firmware... if no find another firmware with those files...
