How to root 2.3.6?
I was using SGS i9000 Android 2.3.3 (official from Kies) which already rooted.
Today I upgraded the system to 2.3.6 (XWJVZ). After flashing, I encountered some 'force close' issues, so I did factory reset, cache wipe and reboot the system.
From this point, the phone became unrooted and I was unable to root it again. I have tried to use SuperOneClick 2.3.2 and GingerBreak 1.2, but always fail or the process keep on going for more than half an hour.
Is there anything I can do to root it? I need to restore my apps and data through Titanium Backup, but it needs to be rooted.
Step by step guide will be most appreciated (I'm newbie). Thank you very much.
