I'm running a rooted version of I9000XXJVT and last night I installed a semaphore kernel JVT_1.8.0

Since then I can't connect to Wifi. It'll pick up the network and connect but just sits as it assigns an ip address and goes no further. Everything else on the phone seems faster but I need Wifi too.

I've seen more recent semaphore versions but they're for different os versions JVU and version 2.5.0 etc. Can I use this semaphore with JVT or do I need to change that too?

Tbh I'm totally confused what semaphore even does but I've found JVT very buggy, crashing a lot and slow to unresponsive and think this improves it as well as rooting it.

I'm open to any and all suggestions that would help

Never mind. Upgraded to 2.3.6 rooted using Chainfire and all working again, even better than before!
