Default Install Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean in Samsung Galaxy S Plus I9001

Hi All,
I am using Samsung Galaxy S Plus (i9001).

I want to install Jelly Bean 4.1.2 in my i9001. Can anyone please help me step by step to do that ??

I know I have to root my device. But I am not sure how to do this and where I can find the Jelly Bean 4.1.2 software for my device.

Can anyone please help me to do this ??

Thanks in Advance.

i do not have this phone, but on my evo 4g lte i am on a JB aosp rom and i have no issues with apps and such. it will depend on the app and if it is compatible with JB (officially). and as far as custom roms go, they should all work with custom roms or not. most apps these days should be fine with JB. so you should be fine.
