Default Com.android.MMS has stopped

I get this error on a lot of aosp ROMs lately when I try to send MMS messages. I'm on slim ROM now (4/28 build) and I've tried the normal fixes like clearing data in the messaging app, fixing permissions and wiping cache and dalvik. Anybody got any ideas on how to get rid of that error and how to send pics again? I'm also getting another error unique to slim because I've never seen it before. Every time I open the messaging app I get a little message pop up that says "can't download now please try again later". It doesn't affect anything. It's just there.

Do you have your mms server settings set to the Boost settings?

Check out the "One Stop Shop" that is a sticky at the top of this forum. It contains links to the instructions on how to do that for AOSP ROMs

OK. I should mention that I've flashed the boost mobile MMS fix .zip already

This did not work. I changed APN settings. And then saved. Did not work.

I give up on AOSP. I'm tired of fixes that may or may not work and all the work involved to just get a phone to do what you bought your phone to do, work.

Check the thread in the original post of that ROM to see if other are having issues with it. I like running the TW Jelly Bean, but there are many who run one of the AOSP ROMs just fine.

Yeah awhile ago I was running the AOSP ROMs great but not so much anymore. I'm going to go back to TW for awhile and see how that goes. I just get so bored with TW. But at least everything works without fail 99% of the time

I really like GB27. If you are just looking for an interface change just try a different launcher. You can really change the look of the phone from changing the launcher.

A number of AOSP-based ROMs for our device are affected by this.
Including Slimbean. You can either go back to a previous version of the ROM with working MMS. Or you can replace the MMS.apk with a previous version.

Ok thanks! I'll try that next. For now though I'm on jellyverse because I got tired of AOSP. Never thought I would say that. Lol.
