Default Making a korean galaxy s2 work in canada on the rogers network

Hey I just bought a korean galaxy s2 which I would love to be able to use in canada with a rogers network sim card. I have been looking into rooting the phone, but would like some enlightenment on if this would actually open it up to the rogers network. Thanks in advance

As long as the phone were unlocked to accept the rogers sim, other than setting the APN for the rogers network you shouldn't have any problems connecting. I'd just double check that it supports the 1900MHz UMTS frequency which is what rogers uses (same as AT&T).

You can look up the model number on Samsung's website and it should list the supported frequencies. Unfortunately, since you have a Korean model it might be harder to find. I'm not sure if this is it since I don't read Korean.

Does the sim card work in a different phone?
