Hi all. Nice thread you have here.. Thanks for your support. Sorry that you have to pay for Deluxe Settings now... It was a deal I had to make with my Wife to be able to continue doing what I love... JKay Deluxe
Btw... just released JKay Deluxe for XWLPG... hope it works ok...
Works perfect for me! This app is well worth a couple of dollars for the ability to customize and and smoothness it provides. Great job and keep up the good work!

fine.
but if i then reflash vert's theme, will it affect the jkay framework?
If you install the latest version of vertumus's theme, here, it comes with the JKay framework it would seem, according to his installation instructions:-
"Requirements:
- U need rom without any themes or mods install
- Don't flash it even over my CWM packages
- Make a backup just in case before flashing
- Uninstall JKAY deluxe settings app (latest version will be installed with theme)
- If u have any other mods (like phone with no inc. record.full pic), remove it
- Remove all mods
- If u have older version of JKAY app, please uninstall
- Patience, installation is just little bit longer"
cheers ironass, should have bothered to read up a bit more on this myself.
the last vers of verts ICS (for ICS roms) theme was 4.4 from 20th May, and won't have the new jkay framework. vers 4.5 should be out soon with jkay support.
was gonna test summat like wanamlite with jkay, but hate the stock gingerbread theme. i'd rather have my S2 look like proper ICS is actually installed.

You're right simes6600. I just tried it and without the JKay framework the Domination theme looked OK. As soon as you flashed the framework it becomes a bit of a mess with some things themed and other not and a mixture of blue and green.
Best, as you say, to wait for the next Domination release.
Domination 4.5 is out tomorrow. Inclusion of the latestJkay framework so far not confirmed from what I have seen. Someone on XDA mentioned it being a seperate add on... We shall see
Under Set status bar options when I choose to theme my status bar (clock, battery, signal, ect.) on a VK rom it is blue in color, while when I use it on PureLook S3 rom it is green. Is the theme color dependent on the rom or is there a way to make the theme any color I want?
On pure ROM you see it as intended in the jkay framework.
Vk has pre themed the jkay framework.
The only way to change this is either to theme it yourself or download a compatible jkay theme which is dependent on firmware version and your ROM being odexed (stock) or deodexed (custom)
I have been bombarded by requests ie. From one old pain in the iron to modify jkay's framework to have a fully animated green circle battery with a 100% transparent status bar.
So for those of you interested you can get these mods:
Both of these mods were developed on my LPG deodexed framework. I cannot say for certain if these will work on anything other than JKay's LPG framework (deodexed), but I would say they probably would, as these are theme morphs, rather than a whole SystenUI.apk install. If it doesnt work for you, or you dont like it, just restore the JKay framework, and restore your Deluxe Settings settings.

I have to say a big thank you to Hawker for these two mod's. Just what I wanted.
A little known fact:
Hawker's Sioux, American Indian, tribal name is Three Horses.....
I just got Jkay Deluxe and it can't detect jk framework. I installed ICS DOMINATION and it still doesn't detect it. I fixed permissions reinstalled with no results.

im 100% with Jkay charging for his app so he can carry on what he loves doing but OMG !!! can no dev of a sammy rom release a version that doesnt rely on Jkay settings.
Sammy roms were everywhere and each dev added his/her own touch. Now to download a sammy rom you need Jkay deluxe.
Im an AOKP fan myself, love the customization, but oh boy, since the release of Jkay deluxe all originality seems to have ceased from the devs
Ive just installed latest NeatRom and tried few times to reninstall jkay using framework but keep getting - Status 7 Error e:/emmc/Download..... Blah blah blah installation aborted.
Did full wipe to install and wiped cache & dalvik since but still not working?

thats because your trying to install Jkay framework that is different to Neat's firmware of LPI or LPB as JKay hasn't released it yet.
You need to manually fiddle the install updater-script in order to install JKay on LPI/LPB at the moment

Thanks Hawker. I must admit I did wander that last night but wasnt sure. Sounds bit too technical for me, might have to wait for release or stick with my LPG back up
Jkay puts an "assert" command in all his scripts that basically locks the install to whatever version of firmware he chooses. In the current framework, he checks for "I9100XWLPG" for example, and if the ROM differs, the installation aborts.
I just took out the check.
This of course means that the framework is not as guaranteed to work as it was on the firmware to which it was designed, but I've had no problems so far. Its just a safety net that JKay uses as I'm sure there could be many problems out in the wide world otherwise. I'm sure he makes the odd change to the framework itself between versions, and its not just a case of changing the firmware check in the install script, but time after time i've done this and dont recall having problems.
Its a bit like Sale's mods. Eg. big screen caller ID. There seems to be a version per firmware, but I'm not sure why, as many are 100% identical

Hello and welcome to Android Forums pammi29!
I'm afraid that there is no JKay framework for DXLP9 and not likely to be one as JKay has, thus far, only brought out his frameworks for XX and XW and has stated that he will not support older firmwares.
So does this mean that those of us on LPI have to still wait for JKay to include us? I thought he'd have something out for LPI by now, especially if he is releasing a new framework.
He may well of been waiting for this. We shall see.
If you have upgraded Jkay you can either see if youve saved the old version on Titanium or at least your old settings will remain . You just wont be able to change them.
