Default Ringtone after root Help Please.

I have been at this all day, and am getting pretty frustrated. I rooted my phone the other day, and just realized I can't get my customizes ringtones and notifications to work. I went on different forums, and made a media file which I broke down into notifications and ringtones, to no avail. When I go to set ringtones all I get is the stock Android ringtones and notifications. I copied and pasted all the sounds to the afore mentioned folders. I opened Rom toolbox, then the root browser and see the folders I created with the sounds under SD card. I have ROM Manager too, This is a clockwork mod my son did for me. I thought I was pretty savy at these things, but now feel like a newbie. Please help so I can get some sounds. Thanks, Vic

Are you putting them on your sd partition or on an actual MicroSD card? It shouldn't matter, but your rom might not be mounting an external card properly.
