Footmouth galexey tab question

hey I have a buddy with a sumsung Galexy tab from jun/2011 and the tab is always running slow he dosen't have a sdcard with it and he is always turning the power off it after he is done using it for the 5 minutes he uses it to find something on the web. Any help?
