Default galaxy tab froyo won't charge

I just installed a new battery in my galaxy tab. I replaced it after the charger kept getting very hot. After 3 days, it simply would not charge.

I plugged the tablet with the new battery in. It would not turn on. Within a few minutes, the charger was hot again.

I put in different charger and now it turns on. After charging 30%, however, it gives the message that charging is "paused" because the battery temperature is "either too hot or too low".

My new battery came from China--I don't know if that could be related.

What should I do next?

Hello and Welcome to Android Forums!!

Unfortunately batteries from china seem to be WAY below standard quality.

My advice? Get you a samsung OEM battery. The price will be worth it in the long run.
