I've been trying to download the latest update of Angry Birds 'Space' for a while now, and initially got error messages saying there was insufficient space for it. I cleared a load of stuff off, but I still can't update it, and now I get an error 498 message up.
Does anyone know what this error is, and if so, how to fix it, please?

I'm getting the exact same error on my Galaxy phone with that app and a few others as well, did you ever figure out the problem? I've searched a few forums but haven't had any luck figuring out what the problem is.

Same here.. I have enough free space, I cleared cache and data for google play and many other system apps (even wiped photos and music by accident). I didn't find anything useful anywhere on the net. Anyone solved it ?
P.S. I have LG P990 with 2.3.4 and the error comes when I try to download ANY application

Settings > Applications > Manage Applications > Google Play > Un-install Updates

This will remove Google Play from your phone and have it back to the default Android Market. Search Angrybirds Star Wars, Seasons etc and download. It will download.

I've looked at so many responses for this saying 'download something, and this, and then something else', and boot phone in root to clear cache etc etc
Simple, effective response and Google Play actually runs better without the dumb update.

this is really the best way of downloading your favorite games w/o the restriction of that 498 error. really simple yet effective

I still cant download candy crash saga because of error 498 i delete some of my apps in samsung galaxy tab but still it wont works, how can i fix that error?
