Tell me more about Reach, want to hear what's on your mind there. Since we share the taste in FPS overall.
My fiancee bought me Reach and I must say that I surprisingly like it very much. It has a Halo (original) vibe to it and it's awesome (since it's the only Halo that I truly liked). So far, the single player is EPIC!

Seeing you have this turn around makes me want to visit walmart today!
Well, I'm gonna see how long I can resist staying clean (no gaming )
have to agree with hitman, playing reach is just epic. its like Halo: Combat Evolved but on growth hormones mixed with steroids and speed and in high def. The elites are back since this takes place prior to the brutes taking over and man, the elites are some serious bad @$$ mofo's, they're quick, they're strong, and they're mean. Being able to fight along side other spartans is just kick ass. The friendly and enemy AI is pretty damn smart.
Some things that I really like about the new game:
Any changes you make to your character (armor, colors ,etc) are reflected in all in game vids and views.
Armor upgrades - jet pack, armor lockup (prevents you from taking damage), hologram (a holographic image of you runs around distracting enemies), bubble shield, etc. Gone are the pickups that you had in Halo 3 that I found severely annoying since I was constantly dropping them because I was used to using 'X' to reload.
Nightvision mode: although I was extremely let down by Halo ODST the nightvision mode from it has been ripped into Halo Reach. Instead of running around with a damn flashlight your spartan has nightvision.
weapons: the new weapons are just kick ass.
graphics: wow, drool, i think i read somewhere the polygon count in Halo 3 for the assault rifle was somewhere around 80 polygons and the new system on reach has over 300 polygons just in the assault rifle alone. The graphics are crisp, both gameplay wise and in game video wise.
I honestly admit that I have been a Halo fan since playing Halo Combat Evolved, I didnt think Halo 2 was that great, Halo 3 I liked, Halo ODST I didnt, but damn, Halo Reach is by far one of the best games I think I've ever played. I havent taken time to play multiplayer yet but I cant wait to dive into it to earn points to customize my armor options.

Dude!! The elites are super bad ass. I sooooo hate fighting them since I'm playing through on Legendary with my buddies. As for AI difficulty, doesn't it just piss you off when they totally jump like 15 feet away from your nades? LOL! Overall, I'm satisfied with it and even more so that it wasn't my $ that placed this lovely game on my lap.
PS: You collect points from campaign as well. I've already ranked up from campaign points alone. Just remember to turn scoring on and use some skulls.
Was playing it last night with a friend. Did 1 level of co-op and then jumped online. Loving it! Aiyan Wal-Mart offers a $20 gift card with the purchase of Reach so I picked up the Collector's Edition.
1 thing I didn't like is how they changed the controls which I was able to change to the old style for the most part, just the LB and X need to be switched but over all I'm liking the game. I like how the Elite's are hard to kill again like in Halo:CE. I also loved Halo 2 and 3 was alright but I hated all the power ups, which I'm happy with how they did them in Reach. ODST was a waste of time and money IMO, glad I never bought it or rented it. Just played it with a friend.
I've been playing L4D2 a lot and Borderlands DLC. Also my son loves cars and crashing them so we play Dirt 2 all the time. He gets a joy out of crashing the rally cars.
I don't have any of the current consoles. Was gonna get a PS3 for the bluray but then I picked up a bluray player for $100.
Okey, couldn't resist. Got Halo Reach from walmart yesterday, will just play it on the crt till I have gotten my lush lush TV! I still need to fix up a power adapter, so checking my fee's. >_< 90 cad is bit of daylight robbery for a power adapter, so thinking of grabbing my third xbox....

I wish I had done this. I barely use my PS3. It's mainly a Blu-Ray player for the home theater in the living room. My wife and her friends also use it to play Sing Star.
I bought a $150 Sony Blu-Ray for the bedroom.

The PS3 is still the best bang for your buck though as a multi-purpose Blu-ray player
^^ this, looking at hopefully picking another one up soon (sold my 1st one). i think sony just pushed an update out that enables 3d movies now, of course i have and can be completely wrong about this before so

I will look it up, quite a interesting thing nevertheless. Would be awesome if that was the case.

I heard about this too. I'm pretty sure it's accurate. I could ask one of my PS3 buddies to see if it's true (or we could hunt down Mgillespie LMFAO!)
EDIT: From Gizmodo - "Your PlayStation 3 has just graduated to version 3.50, adding 3D Blu-ray support, more Facebook integration and better griefing reporting."

Dead Rising 2 for now and Castlevania LOS soon as it leaks online lol, i didnt really like the first dead rising it was pretty slow and boring imo. But the sequel is much more action oriented and tons of customizations make the game incredibly addicting. I agree with above about reach being the (2nd) best in the halo series (can't ever beat the original!) but yea the game is amazing!
Just beat Vanquish for PS3 and got 88% of the trophies. LOL yes i am a trphy hore. Vanquish is a very good game buy not worth 60 bucks. i beat the game in 3 days.
Completed MoH and did some games online, a very good rental game.
But not worth the bucks, they had some uplifting SP levels that were nice and was some minor details I really liked in SP. MP on the other hand lack almost everything. : /
Shame, could been a good game.
Other then that, if I do play something now nowadays its SC2 multiplayer on both EU/NA servers.

They patched the MP servers so a lot of the things that everyone griped about were fixed. They also just released two new MP game modes (one of which is free and the other is 800 pts).
Gonna give it a nudge later tonight and see if the MP feels better.
I actually don't mind sniper fest, since I believe DICE have some of the best sniper classes out there. No quick scoping and more hard scoping features for the game.
Either way, I should run back to my test preparation now.

Snipers still haven't been fixed though so you have people shooting you in the limbs with the bolt action and you are dead. Same goes for the combat rifles.
finishing some of the bajillion games i bought off steam throughout the last year's holiday sales....got my gw hom points...trying some ftp mmo's....sc2
just overall being *****matic trying to find something to play til gw2 comes out
