Did anyone else think that the ending was really weak? Not quite as bad as fallout 3 (awful), but I just didn't feel the fulfillment and desire to continue playing that I did at the end of Morrowind.

True, but still it I expected much more from the ending. Well the main quest is just like 1℅ of the game anyway all these sidequest whooha.
Once ive finished some more games from ps+, Im going to start a new character on skyrim. Now I had one handed weapons and bow maxed out (and full daedric armor), so Im going to create a mage character. I havent used any staffs or many spells so far, do you guys recommend a mage?

And maybe ill try hard difficulty this time.
I've personally never used a mage. I've only used a nord. And you wanna know what I really hate? When your traveling(walking) to an unknown location and a freaking dragon appears out of the bushes and you have to slay it /: its so annoying.

First off, you can't do this because then you technically haven't paid for the games, and these games would not be able to run without access to Steam, you could use your friends account to play though. You would need his log in info and such of course.

And I know at some point I was fighting some trolls and i was near a Dragon sitting on a perch that I had to kill for a quest, well he swoops down, then another dragon spawns....
Well the dragons start fighting each other and the troll joins in....man it was intense lol

Haha I usually spawn my own dragon (: it helps. A LOT. (you receive him after you beat the main quest) .

Maybe not but you can use alchemy to help you out a fair bit.
Max alchemy + blacksmithing + enchanting
Make the best armor you can, enchant it with alchemy, (4 pieces) that will give you + 100 or so to alchemy stats, (potency and duration) wear said armor, then make potions for enchanting / blacksmithing, drink smithing potions and craft new armor, drink more and upgrade armor, drink enchanting potions and enchant new armor. Rinse and repeat for your follower if applicable.

TBH, for a malee character using heavy armor, it probably is, but for a mage/thief using robes & accessories or light armor, you need all the AR you can get, so the pay off is higher. Plus things like alchemy/enchanting are more 'expected/in-line' with a mage type char imo. its not as hard as you think to level those skills, if you have the materials to do it.

I have a few skills that I put odd points in, just started to use archery semi-seriously, but only to do the dawnguard assassinations really. Though I do like my Legendary Dragon Bone Bow, and Fendal has his own LDB gear with 40% bow damage on, so he's just epic, and for close quarters he uses a LDB shield & mace.
My main skills are Destruction/Counjouration/Light Armor but I've also maxed Alchemy/Enchanting/Blacksmithing and i'm 'naturally' leveling Lockpicking/Stealth

Re: Skyrim
For real though, as long as I stay down I can continuously shoot at them without being detected. Most of the time its a 1 shot kill but even with most bosses I don't get hit

Re: .:Official Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Thread:.
My main character is abbot to hit 200 hours of game play and so far I have not picked a side. Still trying to clean up my quest log, I wandered around for 80 seeing what I could see, randomly picking up quests and joined the thieves guild. Around 100 hours I started cleaning up my quest log, started the red nirnroot quest and decided I needed a house other than breeze home. I have 12 dead dragons and 3 masks so far.
Then I got sidetracked and started helping out with the Skywind project, and running Skyrim from a ram disk, which is pretty cool.
If anything I am eager to get back to playing, I still have never been a vampire or werewolf

Re: .:Official Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Thread:.
Warewolf is really useful for assasinations/dark brotherhood.
Vampire was always more of a hassle.
I started over 1-2 weeks ago. Ive got 100 archery, sneaking, smithing, enchanting, pickpocketing, and somewhere around 95 lockpicking.
I'm pretty much bored and just going around hold to hold taking out guards and running up as high of a bounty as i can before slipping away into the shadows.
If the jarls were able to be killed i could slip in, take out all the guards in a city and kill the jarl without ever being detected

Re: .:Official Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Thread:.
Its actually the only style ive really played. When i get to this point where ive completed dark brotherhood, theives guild, and main storyline i usually switch it up with magic or something just to keep leveling.
I need to try either warrior or mage from the beginning. Sneaking around 1 shotting everything with a bow is just too fun

Re: .:Official Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Thread:.
In oblivion I cleared 350 game hours and only closed two gates, spent my time stealing everything, I went to all the Lords manors and took everything from every room. Then spent the rest of the time trying to fence it or put it on a shelf nice and neat.
