Need help with buying games

Should i get Killzone 3 or homefront or should i just buy a modded xbox?

Killzone would be a definite rental for me if I still owned a PS3. AS for Homefront, I have too many other games coming out in March that take precedence so this would be a rental also. Modded xbox is risky and risk really isn't worth the reward.

Microsoft is cracking down on modded Xboxs if you dont do xbox live then you have nothing to worry. As they ban your xbox from live.

Well i guess i will skip on the xbox for now but now im thinking about portal 2 killzone 3 gears of war 3 and crysis 2 but i can only get 3 so i have no idea

What other benefits do you get from modding besides playing burned games to disk and having the ability to make backups for your games?

Generally, its just used to download games from torrents and other sites to burn and play without having to pay.

You can also do things like download DLC for free, install stuff like aimbots/wall hacks... But the latter will get you banned really fast tho.. If your just playing burnt games and follow a few rules it is really unlikely you will get banned.

Well it depends on what model xbox you have. Some models you only need a SATA card ($15) and a screwdriver.

i NEVER use it... was in tip top condition... red rings but was JUST serviced when it got banned.

having an achievo from 1969 screwed me... OOPS!!

(DVD player is another bonus!)

The only logical argument I've ever heard about XBL vs PSN was that PSN is free. Big whoop! It's free and I still have to deal w/ *****ebags. I'd rather pay and be able to ignore aforementioned *****ebags.

When you think about it PSN seems more of a kiddie playground when you include PlayStation Home. I mean who really cares about walking around a virtual mall and talking to some weirdo in speedos and roller skates.

and this PS v BOX... i happily pay for ESPN3.. seeing the amount of soccer and college sports makes me sound as a pound!!

add that to the OPINION of a superior controller and i dont mind paying $40 a year for XBL.

Alright well im still looking for a consle but now i have a bigger probelm i got 300 dollars to spend and i want so many games right now (socom4 killzone 3 homefront gears of war 3 portal 2 and crysis 2) i cant make up my mind i can only get 4 but idk i was thinking to just sell some of my games to get extra cash but i dont want to sell any

You have both consoles (PS3 and 360)? Homefront and Portal are definite rentals. I personally wouldn't even want Crysis if it's not played on a PC. I guess that only leaves 3 games left which would leave you with some money back in your pocket. The only thing is those games don't come out for some time.

For that reason alone, you shouldn't waste $ on Crysis. It's meant to be played on the PC. The 360/PS3 port is a dumbed down version.

Gears was never delayed. That's the date that was originally set and Epic tends to stick to their release dates.

That article is dated almost 4 months ago. Epic stated while Gears 3 was in development that they anticipated an early release (April-ish) but that didn't happen so they went with the original release date which is Fall 2011 but recently officially set for September thus, no actual real delay occured.
