I want something in-depth like MVP Baseball 2005 (man I loved this game), with all the minor league teams and full blown franchise mode. Is there anything out now that's comparable?

Unfortunately, the best baseball game is on PS3. It's called MLB The Show. I play MLB 2K b/c that's what is available to me now since I sold my PS3. I would wait it out though since the new baseball games come out the first week of March.

By the way, MVP Baseball 05 was the best baseball game I've ever played.

So I take it, there are no minor league teams in 2K? How about the franchise mode?

Oh there's minor league teams but I never use them. I just play My Player, Online and Franchise. In My Player mode, you start off in the minors and work your way up through the levels (depending on your position and demand for it on the team that drafts you). Franchise is.. well.. franchise mode lol

I gotta agree with NYC here. Don't have a PS3 but I'll take MLB The Show on the PS2 over the 2K series. It's even great on the PSP.

I mean 2K is alright, just not my favorite Baseball wise.

Now if EA would stop being assholes and free up the licensing on Football games, now we'd be talking. I'm still playing NFL 2K5 on the original Xbox over Madden. People still update the rosters every year. See: www.nfl2k5rosters.com

Yeah Xbox only gets the 2k series since the MLBPA gave exclusive rights to Take-Two for thrid party games and MS doesn't make a MLB game (unlike Sony). I think they get better each year but on Xbox I only have 2k8. I got 2k10 on PC when Steam had it on sale for $2, it seems much better than 2k8 but I don't know if thats just because its on the PC.

2K8 was the worst one they created imo. They improved big time in 2K9 and then 2K10. I'm hoping that some of the glitches from 2K10 will be fixed with the new player and signature motion models.
