Black ops for sure! About 2 Prestage both game. Went back for a black ops after quiet a few months, Could still do well. Tried MW2, did ok but way to much cheesy Stuff eg. tubing, hacks. To bad $100 game year or whatever down the track, worthless.
I cant stand MW2 because of sniping all there is are trickshots it frustrates me to a point of no return not because i cant do it its just because what are the chances of jumping from a building doing a 360 and just firing a 50 cal from the hip and hitting someone
I like Black Ops much more. My FPS background started in Counter-Strike, so I'm used to having ~5 shots to kill and actually aiming for heads. MW2 was fun, but it was such a twitch shooter and came down to who was lucky enough to see the other first, since 2-3 shots and it was over. I love the fact you can turn around in Black Ops and win a gunfight if you're a better shot. In MW2 if you got caught from behind, you didn't have a chance to retalitate.
I'm also a huge fan of the toned down kill streaks in Black Ops, and that they don't stack. It's an FPS, I play it to shoot people, yeah the UAV and a killstreak that gives you 2-3 free kills is nice as a reward for those doing well. But in MW2 when you get more kills with air support than your gun, it's stupid. If I want to shoot people from a jet I'll go play Ace Combat or something. The nuke kill streak promoted so much camping and lame OMA tactics, I'm glad it's gone.
I did find MW2 fun, until the community ruined it with Danger Close/One Man Army noob tubes. And as xepic said, the sniping trick shots ruin it too.

So you dont like real word situations? Someone walks up behind you in a real world combat situation. 10/10 chances your dead.
I've played both, in addition to being a CS 1.6 and CS:S player of old I've also played all the CoD games thus far.
For me I enjoyed MW2 the most, probably because it was such a change from WaW, then Black Ops came out and to me it felt like MW2 without sniping and worse maps. I wasn't one of those quick scope trick shot people either. Honestly I had no problem besting them with a UMP or AR. I do think sniping is an important part, without a common enemy to unite against Black Ops didn't have the same last appeal, for me anyway.
I'll probably play both this summer more when school is over.

Not in video games. I'm quite the fan of the better skilled player winning 9/10 times rather than who was lucky enough to find them first (sure it may be realistic but I'm playing a video game). I'm not a fan of the more realistic games like the Tom Clancy games anyways. MW2 is far from realistic anyways, any CoD actually.
Thanks guys for the replies keep it going!!! But for me idk such a tough decision someone made a good point is that if ur the better shot u have more chance of winning and another point is black ops makes u have to practice a little bit hence the reason for combat training Jack the difficulty up and they play better than most online guys. As mw2 I agree that the add on killstreak rewards can be a little cheap and prohibit camping but I only like mw2 for hardcore and third person other than that don't really play it that much and quick scopers and noob tubers will be in any game that has noob tubes and snipers there are just those kinds of people out there but happy gaming and keep posting ur ideas.
Ugh, I'm going to have to drop a couple more bills to get a new graphics card for BF3 haha. I remember when my 9600GT was high end, oh the joys of being a PC gamer.
Fact is tho, most people who play Sabotage just use it as a long TDM.... I have been yelled at and get hate mail for planting the bomb.. whats up with that!!
On topic tho, I like Bo more till BF3 cause there are less cheap tactics.
Honestly, I tried MW2 and got to level 65, but by then I was so tired of all the blatant BS that I gave up on the game without trying to prestige. BC2 I still play the hell out of. Black Ops I played the campaign and liked it, but I quit the multiplayer after level 20 because it was just more MW2 BS
I just prefer the squad tactics approach of Battlefield, I guess. It's hard as shit to find a party in MW2 or BO that plays with active team tactics and communication.

Not for nothing but it's rare that you find any party on BF:BC2 that communicates at all. The majority of players just know what to do without even having to say anything to them. In the CoD games, everyone runs around like chickens w/o a head just trying to get kills.

I have never experienced that, if they want to play TDM, then play TDM.

Even with a full party playing together with communication, I've still run into randoms that have beaten us. It happens quite often too. The nature of CoD allows for lone soldier play, one person on the other team playing well can overcome a full team. CoD just doesn't emphasize team work and it doesn't revolve around it.
In Gears or BF, if you try to go lone soldier you'll get walked any day of the week against a full team. In CoD you have a chance of coming out on top and carrying the entire team by yourself.
Yes, teamwork does allow for easier wins in CoD. I'm just saying it's not essential for victory as it is in other FPS games, and it has much less importance than other series.

"Ya but its not 20 mins long!!!!111!!!" Is their excuse. In MW2 I get team mates that yell let other team defuse the your bomb. Or to not plant the bomb. And in BO I can't find consistent lobbies for Sabotage.
Sabo is incredibly fun tho with two teams who are working toward the objective.

Eris--Been Rooted-and the better for it.

Haha this would be one of your treads haha
Yeah I like both games for diffrent reasons. I personally like the graphics in MW2 better and I like the waepons more. In black ops I find it anoying how everyone is using the same gun. I have been playing black ops when it first came out...well after they fixed the servers, anyway and the other day we went and played a few games in MW2 and I forgot how much I loved my guns from that game. But to give black ops credit it does promote fire fights and I love it when bullets fly.
And one weapon I miss the most from MW2 is the roit shield that is prolly the most fun you can have sometimes, to just be able to charge the enemy or take the heat of both the chopper and a harrier lol
Pros play MW2 on different rules. There are no overpowered killstreaks, no noob tubes, no one man army, no commando, no guns with zero recoil, no heartbeat sensors, no shotgun secondaries, no painkiller. It's clear from a professional opinion that the game is severely broken as it is stock.
Everyone used the ACR/TAR and Spas/AA12 in MW2 as well. There will always be favorite guns in every game.
My opinion still stands as people who enjoy using excessively over powered killstreaks enjoy MW2 more. People who enjoy getting gun kills like Black Ops.
MW2 for sure. Black Ops has some serious framerate issues. Both are fun, but MW2 is better because the only frustrating thing about it are MLC (marathon, lightweight, commando), and grenade launchers. Of course, I still think cod4 is the best of the call of duty games.
am I the only one that liked COD4 when it came out but its definitely not the best of the series...?
......and MW2 is terrible, imo.
my preference:
BO>MW>COD4>WaW>MW2
I really cannot understand how anyone who has played anything cod4 and beyond, can say Black Ops is better than MW2. Sure, there's some broken things about the game (MLC, scavenger/one man army grenade launcher spam), but it's still a lot of fun. Trust me, I'm one of those guys that will make your playtime a nightmare. I am always camping in a good spot with 2 claymores set up and my AUG-HBAR/AA-12 Extended Mags combo. My 3.34 K/D on PSN (not sure our profiles will be there when PSN is back online )shows my success quite well.
MW2 does lag like crazy on PSN (well, can't check now ) but Black Ops is a mess all-around. I've joined a couple of those modded games, but I just quit out of them. MW2 doesn't really lag on my connection if I play on the 360. None of the cod games lag on 360, just Black Ops because of its framerate. All the cod games lag on ps3, and I've played all versions at one time or another on my connection. I usually say graphics don't matter, but in Black Ops' case, Treyarch really botched that one to the extent that it affects gameplay.

no, your KD shows you camp very well. Two different things. KD is meaningless. Win percentage is far more important. If you have a 3:1 KD but have a 0.5:1 win ratio, I dont want you on my team. end of story.

Not much. Sony just admitted that they were hacked and that's why PSN has been down for the last 8-9 days. They added that they are reworking all the services and etc so it's gonna take a while but no timeframe was given. Users should expect a big update when PSN is back up and running to install new files.

Of course it's your opinion, I just personally don't understand why others think so.
As far as camping, I do just fine without it. I'll do worse, but still well-above average, at least 2.0 probably in the range of 2.5-3.0. I still use the silenced UMP quite often, just my AUG-HBAR most of the time. Understand that I only play Team Deathmatch, not objective-style games like Demolition, so yes K/D actually is a good indicator of player skill in my case.
In Black Ops again I only play Team Deathmatch. My brother shares the PSN account with me, but only I use the Stoner63, which I use the most. My K/D with that, last time I checked, was at least a 3.2. I can't scavenge more claymores, so I must be doing something right. It's hard to camp in the same spot in that game and do well.
I was a gold-cross on my 360 account for cod4 with a 1.90 k/d and unlocked all the gold guns, did almost all the challenges (couldn't shoot a claymore through a wall and get someone legit yet though, or Misery Loves Company where you cock a grenade and kill yourself and another person). Cod4 was more run and gun style gameplay. My most-used classes were grip SAW steady aim/stopping power, silenced MP5 x3 frags, SP, extreme conditioning, and the AK-47. I actually didn't use the M16 often as I thought it was overpowered - the same reason why I avoid grenade launchers/one man army.
I have a "terrible" win/loss ratio because you get kicked out of servers quite frequently on PSN when playing mw2 (black ops as well). This counts as a loss and your k/d isn't affected, although your total kill count is. When you join another match, there's a good chance you're down by 4000-7000 when you join, which also counts as a loss. I quit out of games if they're too laggy or if there's any hackers. I share the account with my brother who is worse than me, plays objective games only, and "plays to win"; he frequently quits matches like my reasons above. After all this, I think my win/loss ratio is ~1.8 but don't quote me as I can't check with PSN offline, and I still have a good K/D. If I start a match, usually only good clans that talk can win. That or my team must be new to the game or really terrible.
Black Ops has one of the best and exciting campains of all COD titles till today (yet "modern warfare 2"s was also awesome). It seemed like a super action movie about the "Cold War". The assassination mission of Fidel Castro was my favourite.
For me the multiplayer mode is also better with its customization mode and plus, new maps and killstreaks look very nice.
From my point of view, the only part where Black Ops losses to MW 2 is the weapons and equipment part. MW 2 had a way better aresnal...
The extra maps are meh, nothing special. Yeah if you're into multiplayer it'll throw in some variety. But nothing ground breaking.
The Zombies map on the otherhand is worth the $15 by itself, well at least for zombie players. It brings quite a bit of innovation and game changing things on how you handle a typical zombie game. With George constantly following you around, it definately changes thing. Yes you can kill him, but he reappears after like 3 rounds.
I'm hearing good things about the new Escalation map pack; Zombie, Zoo and Hotel seem to be pretty good. Not so much with Convey and Stockpile.
As much as I bad talk BlackOps, I'm still tempted to get it LOL.
I'm leaning towards selling my 2nd copy of Black Ops. Sold my first one for some good loot on eBay. I haven't touched it since before the first map pack came out and I doubt I'll play it again. I'm getting tired of these CoD shooters. Can't wait for BF3.
