But when marijuana is looked at as so dangerous that it cannot even be acquired via prescription, such as truly dangerous drugs are, it makes you wonder just what the motivation is to keep it criminalized altogether.

I have played all the battlefields on PC (BF1942, BF2, BF2142, BFBC1&2) and BFBC2 on Xbox360.
I must say, I find the PC Versions are more enjoyable and easier to play with the keyboard and mouse. I still cannot plays FPS properly with a pad. Need more practice!
Prob get BF3 as a gift for xmas.

Mannnn, I sure was extremely disappointed by BF2142. My fav was BF: Vietnam or BF2 by far on the PC.

This and MW3 and Resistance 3 are all on my list for this year. Cant wait for this to come out, but I also want them to release some multiplayer vids. Everything now is the campaign which is awesome but I want to see live multiplayer vids.

I wouldn't mind some MP vids but I typically finish the SP first in any major game I play so it worked out quite well for me this time around.
E3 Gameplay footage. Wow, I am definately upgrading my PC for this game to run this thing at full settings. It's like playing a movie. Going to suck for consoles to get a way dumbed down version of it.
I hope it backs up the hype. The MW3 footage looks exactly the same as the past few games. Glad BF3 is actually advancing and innovating games. CoD has simply turned into the Madden franchise of FPS games, releasing the same exact game every year with slight differences.

DICE Art Director Gustav Tilleby has said that upcoming military shooter Battlefield 3 will have ground-breaking visuals on consoles as well as PC.
Battlefield 3 was detailed to the developer community - and the press - at EA's GDC event yesterday.
Tilleby told X360 magazine that DICE's Frostbite 2.0 engine which powers the game is "a step beyond our competitors, and it allows us to do more".
"And while the stunning looking Battlefield 3 trailers doing the rounds are clearly rendered on high-end gaming PCs, consoles won't look that different. "The positive thing is that the new rendering technique allows us to do more complex calculations at no extra cost," added Tilleby. "That's the magic. The game will look very good, even on 360."
"We knew that people would think that this demo was running on PC, but the good thing is that it's all based on streaming," added executive producer Patrick Bach. "I can promise you that the console versions will still look amazing because of the core technology. If you have a 360, we want to use that machine to the maximum."
I'm somehow a bit skeptical on their statements. I just don't see consoles that are getting close to the end of their lifespan competing against a top of the line PC. But we'll definately see. It'll still probably be the best graphics these consoles have seen yet.
Oh yeah, forgot to mention. If you plan on getting it, pre-order it. If you pre-order it you get the Limited Edition and that gives you free access to the first DLC.
DICE devs during an E3 interview said the PC version will not have much if anything over the console versions since the Frostbite 2 engine allows them to use up the majority of raw power on PS3/360 (and at low cost to them).

Yea, I don't expect it to be a glaring difference. Also I expect the xbox rendering to be better than the PS3 since most of the games are made for the xbox first and then ported over to the PS3.
The two main differences between the consoles and the PC is that on the PC you can have up to 64 players, 32 in Rush, compared to 32 players for consoles and the consoles will run 720p @ 30 fps while the PC can run no limit on resolution with no fps limit.
I'm buying it for the PC. Battlefield 3 is going to be my "game of the year".
I'm a long time Battlefield fan. I am so pumped for this game. Pre-ordered it as soon as I could. I really wish I could get it for the PC, but I don't have a gaming rig. PC gaming, IMO, is always the best. BF2 with 64 players is awesome. And once I discovered Project Reality (BF2 Mod), I lost a whole lot of hours of my life. But it looks like they're building all 3 releases from the ground up instead of porting them so the Xbox 360 version I'll be playing should be solid. Plus, I recently traded Black Ops for Bad Company 2, and what a great decision that was! Playing BFBC2 just makes me more excited for BF3!
I am a terrible person because I am so late to the BF party. Long ago I got BF:BC on PS3 (rental) hated it. Bought BF:BC 2 on Steam yesterday, with DLC and Vietnam for less than a ten spot. I am F-ing furious with myself for trying the first one out on PS3. I missed out on some great shit.
Dice have said PC version will be treated as a pc game should. Im not saying they wont give love to consoles but they wont make the same cock up Crytek did with Crysis 2.
Maybe PC and 360. My friends will be getting it for 360 so i know i am getting it for that. I will hopefully be building a new PC around Christmas time so I might spring and buy it for PC too.

You're saying half the amount of people on the map is "all the same"? Did you ever play BF2...???
Yeah, I've played every Battlefield game created except Modern Combat for 360. 16v16 is more than enough. I remember the throwback days of BF2 and how hectic shit was roaming around with so many people in a server. It was fun but just because it was fun doesn't mean it is necessary.

I loved the 64 man servers, caution was an understatement. 32 man in BC2 works, the maps are designed for it, but every once in a while when I'm on a server that is 28 max or 24 max, the difference in intensity is majorly different.. just takes a few people to change it.
Not everyone likes the chaos though, the CoD people think BF is slow, and it is in a sense, but much more chaotic in my opinion, as where CoD is fast past , and very insert 50 cents arcade style.

I agree with you here. A lot of CoD players can't handle the change of pace from BF to CoD which makes them say "BF sucks". We all like what we like. I prefer realism over # of players.
Damn it feels awesome. Only one map as yet set in a park but it looks stunning even more so than Bad company 2. So glad they brought the prone position back that was omitted from badcompany.
